My husband and I just bought 8,000 points, with traveler plus and unlimited bonus time for 20k. The lady also threw in an extra 8,000 bonus points and 6 RCI exchanges. We definetly felt pressured and were sold with all the extra bonuses. The whole system seems like a really good deal, one that’s “too good to be true”. I left feeling super excited about finally getting to travel, however, after reading a ton of reviews about bluegreen, it seems like a horrible idea.

We are thinking about rescinding. The sakes women told us the Maintenance fee was fixed and would not change, however, after reading the contract, that is not true!

We are a family of four and really want to be able to travel and afford it. Any suggestions?!?! We need some experts direction.

So glad I found you guys in time!!!

Rescind, rescind, rescind then research, research, research then MAYBE resale, resale, resale!

Take out your paperwork follow the instructions and RESCIND before you entertain any questions about the purchase. Rest assured the same deal , if not better, will be there after you rescind. Once the time lapses you can never go back and rescind.

Thank you!!! That’s what I was thinking. Ugh! I got swindled.
Many TUGgers me included started with developer purchases that we did NOT rescind not having found TUG in time...you are in a perfect spot to learn how to use timeshares to achieve your travel goals. Make sure you read your contract and follow the rescission instructions exactly.

congrats on finding TUG in time to save yourself $20 grand!

Im so thankful! Ugh, can’t believe I let my excitement cloud my judgment! Y’all are great!!!
Keep the excitement! Timeshares are great when used in a researched and focused and planned manner.

Hey @nolaokc I am in the same boat, are you by chance at their Fountains location in Orlando? I read the contract and mailed my cancellation letter today. If you need help with a template and where to print/copy and mail (in the Orlando area) let me know. I just went through this process this morning! Good luck!

Rescind. Look at buying on the resale market. RCI bonus weeks are based on availability, so they are no bargain. You can pick them up for a few hundred dollars per week, if they are available. I own 4 weeks & travel last minute, which gives me 12+ weeks per year with RCI. Is your week at Bluegreen in Vegas? Vegas has a ton of timeshares & you can almost always trade in to Vegas through RCI or other exchange companies.

love 2for1 cancellation posts!

Folks - the post I deleted above is from an unknown person - use caution

3 for 1! outstanding!

I'm so glad I found this. We upgraded to 20,000 pts of the 15th and going through my notice NH only gives 5 days to send in the letter though they have to refund us within 10 days of receiving it. The template you posted was such a great help and will be going in the mail tomorrow morning. This just saved us the $27k of the initial loan and $54k over the life of the loan.

outstanding, congrats on finding TUG in time to save 27k!

4 in 1 thread, might be a new record!
