We own at DSV-I, Platinum and have done everything with that unit but search online for exchanges. Desperately need baby steps in how you do that on the II website.

1. Do you get your week assigned first?

2. Do you split it when making reservations for the next year?

3. What next?

Thank you from a senior citizen with limited computer skills

Assuming you want to definitely split the unit and trade the lockoff, call Mariott, split unit (pay fee) and reserve lockout for best trade date possible. Use that reservation number to search on line for possible trades.

1. Initially you have to book your 2BR unit, no matter if you are exchanging, renting, using or locking-off.

2. If you decide to lock-off, you can do it when making the initial reservation, or later on (as I have done). Following the general rules for reserving units.

3. Once you split your unit, you will be charged the lock-off/split fee and you can then search for exchanges for both sides or keep one and search with the other. It is basically then like having two separate reservations.

Have fun!
