We have had our Westin Heavenly Bed now for app 2 months. It is SO firm and nothing like the bed I have slept in at the Westins. My husband and I wake up everyday with backaches. He used to sleep like a rock and wakes up several times a night. Thinking about sending it back. Thank goodness we went thru Nordstroms and not the Westin store. Anyone else having any issues? Thanks.

It's been awhile since I stayed at resort with Heavenly Bed but I remember it being very plush so you felt like sinking into a layer of bedding and blankets/comforter. Have you tried the Heavenly mattress topper? We have a pillowtop bed but added a topper and...wow what a difference. I can't even get our dog off it.

From what I remember when looking at them at Nordstrom a couple years ago, the beds were nothing special. What made them comfortable was all the extras that you can buy to go with them.

We have always found that Heavenly Beds are way too firm, even at Westin locations. If you can't return the bed, you can buy a memory foam/tempurpedic layer and put on top of the bed. We now bring that along when we go to drivable timeshare/hotel locations and that makes alot of difference.

Ours is firm - but prefer it that way.
Nordstrom will allow you to return, but there is a restocking fee.

Simmons makes a much softer and more comfortable bed than the bed we saw at Nordstrom's. It's called Simmons Black Label, and it's a wonderful bed. Our daughter bought the Simmons after trying the Heavenly bed in the store. She said it is a world of difference, and the Simmons was just a tiny bit more.

Shopping for a bed is tough because you just lay on a bed for a few minutes in the store. You cannot really tell what's comfortable that way, but it's the only way.

The Westin beds are very nice, I gotta say, but I have a hard time believing it's the same bed as we saw at Nordstrom's.

Mattresses soften over time/usage (wording to this is in Heavenly product insert) - I do think the ones we sleep on at resorts feel the same, but all are firm

from our Nordstrom mattress...

I second the vote for the Simmons Black Label. I got one for my second home a few years ago. Now I want it to be my first home. It is a wonderful mattress, firm with a good pillow top. Some pillow tops are too soft and get saggy before the underlying mattress does. The Black Label is perfect but it's a very personal choice.
