I am a Worldmark owner with 28,000 credits available, I have access to both RCI and Interval. I am trying to get 2 two bedrooms for my family at one of the "nicer" resorts (Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Westin, ect.) for this summer. I have been searching since September and haven't found much. First time trying to exchange and also a new timeshare owner. Am I wasting my time or is it possible to find something?

I don't know the answer (sorry) but try to edit your title to add the words "WorldMark owners". That should get some more views on your thread.

In the meantime I'm going to tag a couple of WorldMark owners (I think) who may be able to help. @sue1947 @Hindsite

Hyatt is pretty difficult, if not impossible, to get.

Westin, Sheraton and Marriott owners get priority ahead of other exchangers, leaving very little left for anybody else. Summer would be a bit tough.

Even so, you have a pretty good chance of getting something in summer. I just received a couple of matches for March dates at Marriott, and it was surprising to me that spring breaks were still popping up.

Exchanging isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sometimes it's downright difficult.

I hope you entered ongoing searches and aren't relying on catching inventory online. Those are the leftovers.

I'm not familiar with the way Worldmark exchanges through II, but wanted to help put perspective on what you are asking.
I own a 2 bedroom Marriott Newport Coast. When I search for a 2 BR Marriott in Hawaii, I'm not able to see any in 2025.
Looking for two 2 bedroom Marriott units for same week seems like a unicorn hunt.

There are second tier timeshares where you might find what you need, but it seems unlikely in the Marriott/Westin/Hyatt world.

Also, there is a forum here called the sightings board. Posters here will post what exchanges they can see, as well as if they are in the Marriott preference period - Marriott owners have first dibs, then Vistana, then everyone else. It also serves as a historical log of what units were available for exchange, when they were available, and if it was a bulk deposit (meaning that the developer deposited a large number of units) so that you can plan ahead for next time you want to request an exchange. You will be able to see it if you join TUG and pay the $15 membership fee. It is well worth it if you plan to be exchanging. Once you join you will also have access to the TUG review section which could help you choose an alternate resort in case the others don't come through.

Keep your RCI request in - hopefully a Hilton unit will come up again (although I think that was probably part of a bulk deposit that was reported in the sightings forum). Summer is just a tough time of year for Hawaii.

Hawaii is a heavy demand and fills quickly, you generally have to plan out 18 months to 2 years in advance to really get what you want.
Good luck with finding something at this point.

BTW, we first visited Kona at the Worldmark resort in Kona. It isn't downtown, but South of town, close to Turtle beach. Its really not within walking distance of things, but we found the accommodations very nice, with excellent staff and lots of loaner boards, snorkels, fins, left by previous people available in the front office. We had a rental car, so we were able to totally travel the island, and would stay there again!

Its either 1 year ahead or able to plan 2 months left it seems. I am able to snag 2 bedroom with a studio or 1BR two years in a row with 2 months. Waiohai Beach Club 2 BR both times in August and September

Click on "forums" on the upper left hand side, the scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list, past the TUG Lounge forums, and look for the "Private forum". That's where you will find it.

All of these weeks deposited by Marriott today are under Marriott preference, likely for about 21+ days (Only other Marriott owners, with enough trade power, can see them or match them during the preference period.)

Define the actual dates you're targeting.
Summer in Hawaii is an extremely difficult exchange for your first attempt. Consider Marriotts in drive-to destinations (what part of the country are you in?)

Keep the RCI search going for Kings Land and hope someone throws a week back. It is a gorgeous resort.

Unlikely to get 2 two bedrooms during the peak summer this year at the Hilton Hawaii resorts.
You're better off setting up your ongoing RCI search request now for 2026 peak summer weeks at the HGVC Hawaii resorts ;)

I still see a couple of late summer August 2025 weeks in RCI for HGVC. In II, the only hope is the last minute drops.
