We will be in Ohau and Maui this June/July. I was thinking of buying an Entertainment book for Hawaii but wondering if it's worth it. Anyone with info??

If you do your homework BEFORE you go and plan out what restaurant and activity coupons you want to use AND where they are located, it can be a big savings, especially on Oahu. If you just throw it in your suitcase and hope to use it, you probably won't get any value out of it.

I am leaving in 1 weeks for kauai - with 2 days on oahu. It was only $15 with free shipping so I am planning to use the PCC coupon which will save me $40. If we use one or 2 dinner coupons on Oahu, It will have been well worth it.

Most of the coupons are for oahu with just a few on the other islands

I paid (I think) $25 for mine last Spring prior to a trip to Oahu and the Big Island. As much as I wanted to use it more, I didn't use it at all on the Big Island. But on Oahu it was well worth it - for those things we would have spent money on anyway. Restaurants and such were the best bargains for us, and all tolled, we saved probably about $100 using the book.

Having said that, I did find it inconvenient sometimes that there were no coupons to use in certain areas, and in some places, (like the Chili's Restaurant in Waikiki), they didn't honor the coupon in the book. So even though we'd have used it more, we couldn't always find a place TO use it.

I'd say if you get it cheap, take it along. One or two lunch meals will pay for the book. If you have to pay full price for it, check the website to see what it has in it before you buy.

This is important. And when we did that, there were very few coupons that we would use. If this book doesn't match your needs, there are other coupons to look for... For many travelers, if you're organized about it, you can save a lot. Otherwise, like Denise said... you'll find that you may not get around to using them.

I went through and tabbed mine for the coupons I think we might use. I already made the reservation at PCC and that is a $40 savings & will probably use it for one or two resturants on Oahu. There are two resturants in our hotel (we are only on Oahu for 2 nights)

THe only thing I found on Kauai was for pizza & KFC.

You can print up to 3 coupons from the website with a free trial membership.
