Before I trade my week in for points I was wondering if anyone who has banked points can tell me what is available anywhere in Hawaii early January to mid February, at any Marriott,Westin, or Sheraton resort for 7-10 days. I can trade my week in for 3975 points and rent some more if needed. Looking fir a studio or possibly 1 bedroom and point values for different weeks. I can see some availability then end of January at KoOlina, Westin Napali Villas North but do not know what type of unit or views.
Thank you

I only own points so I’m not sure if the availability I see would be the same. But I can see a lot of availabilities at Westin Princeville and Marriott Kauai Beach Club on Kauai. Maui seems to have very limited rooms at Westin Kaanapali, Kaanapali North, and Marriott Maui Ocean Club. Marriott Ko Lina Ocean Club on Oahu seems to have some availability in the first half of Feb.

There is quite a bit of availability for all applicable units sizes at most resorts for 7 nights across January and February. You can also waitlist which is likely to be successful if needed, especially for a studio.

Since you are a TUG member, check the sightings board.
Using your week you can exchange into Westin Sheraton units right now on Kauai.
There was a February unit on Maui this morning but might be gone.
If you have a lock off, you could get two weeks.
Much better mileage then exchanging for abound points.

Exchanging for a full week via II and renting points to book additional nights in the same view category is the most cost effective with a lockoff.
Tomvc shared a great tip with you. To take it a step further go into II and pretend you are going to trade your unit for Hawaii. Do this by make up a reservation number ( 8 digits as I recall starting with an 8). I use something like 81212112. Act like you reserved the highest demand week that you can reserve at your resort. Then you can see what is available for the time frame of interest. If you want to add on some nights either at that resort or elsewhere to get to 10 nights look for a Sunday check in date in II. That way when you rent points from an owner you can save on points needed because Sunday through Thursday night stays are the cheapest in points required. Staying a Friday or Saturday night on points is very expensive.

I agree with the above, but what resort/view/week are you trading with?
