apparently this form requires a field that most people wouldnt ever get, solid customer servicing there! will see if i can get a better link instead.

We just had an awful experience with a presentation at Poipu point. We were shown a diagram that purported to explain how the inventory that we had available to us would be rapidly shrinking if we did not sign up with Hilton grand vacation club or Max or whatever it is. They told us that the Hilton club members have priority over the deed owners at Poipu and that we do not get to choose our rooms like they do and we basically get the leftovers. it seems to me the point system which allows for people to stay for less than a week is interfering with our rights as deeded owners making our investment a lot less valuable. We were told that most of the owners were voting with their feet and going to Max and that eventually we were going to be squeezed out.

next time a salesperson makes a wild claim or produces some document/etc...have them write down their claim and date/sign it so you can keep it, or take a photo of it so you can do your research and make a fully educated and informed decision.

you will be able to tell from their immediate reaction to this request how honest their statement was!

Before Hilton purchased DRI, the DRI sales people used the same tactics to convince deeded owners to turn in their deeds for DRI trust points. It was all fear tactics to sell people what they already owned again, so DRI could convey the deeds into the trust. I had several discussions with deed owners at Sedona Summit that had been to a sales presentation and received the hard sell. I explained to them how it was a only going to benefit DRI by taking their deed, putting it in a trust, then selling it right back to them as points.

They will tell you the blended maintenance fees will be lower, but neglected to mention the higher club program fees. It's the same with Max, the club fees are higher for Max members, and if you own a lower maintenance fee deed then the blended point fees could be higher.
