Hi:
We [my wife and I] are new to HGVC, and this is our first reservation. We bought 4800pts in Orlando from Hilton. I know, we should have bought in the after market but in the heat of the moment.......but we don't regret it. They also gave us 21000 bonus points.
A few questions:
How is the 1 bedroom accommodations? do they supple the same amenities as a Hilton Hotel [shampoo, towels, changing of linen]?
Is there WiFi available? If so is there an extra charge?
We are going in mid May, off season. Is there stuff to do besides hiking, boating etc. in the vicinity, like restorations, museums etc?
Thanks

There are quite a few reviews here about the resort and location - I assume you mean the CLub Intrawest?

Edited to add - oops, I see you're not a TUG member so can't access the reviews. There are various types of 1 bedroom units - some on one level with one bath, some on 2 levels with 2 baths, some with jacuzzis, some without. Some have golf course views and others lake views. We've stayed in probably 5 or 6 of them and liked all of them, though we like the lake view ones best (which cost more CI points).

Tons of stuff to do in the area, though in May you never know about the weather.

I thought I was a TUG member, but upon further research, I found out I'm not. So I will join, send in my $15 and become a member. First, I'm trying to learn about the rules about HGVC, now I also have to learn about the rules about TUG. Boy, this timeshare thing is complicated!

Welcome to TUG and to HGVC. It's not that complicated once you learn the system. You just need to be a little bit flexible with your plans. We had the pleasure of staying at Club Intrawest Whistler in August 2008 for our anniversary. We had an excellent experience and anticipate going to Tremblant in future. You may wish to visit the HGVC website because there is a great deal of useful information. You may also wish to visit the HHonors website because there is more to HGVC than timesharing.

Welcome to HGVC and Tug!

We have been to Tremblant a few times - it is actually an awesome place to visit. The units are beautiful with quirky trinkets and a lot of character. Very Quebecois. I love the units.

One thing that threw us before we went was that a lot of th units don't have AC - they do provide fans if you need them. However, it was so pleasant there we really didn't miss it. The last time we went they charged for wifi (I may not be remembering right, but it was about $25 for the week), but they did say they were building up bandwidth and would be able to provide it to everyone "next time you come".

We went one Memorial Day, and the weather was great. Unfortunately, the swimming pool was closed, but that can be hit or miss based on weather - it was open one year in October! The hot tubs have always been open, and they are really nice too.

Lots of hiking and biking opportunities. There is a river nearby where people fish - might need a license. Not sure about museums etc. but there are a lot of little townships around there, cute places to eat and hang out. The Gondola to the top is open year round, and you can choose to ride it down or hike down. They have a mountain bike competition on Mem Day weekend every year. Several golf courses (but not cheap)

Hope that helps!
