Im looking for a way to rent or sell some unused Marriott weeks and destination points. I was contacted by email and given this website but I have never heard of them has any one worked with them?

in nearly all cases, a random company contacting you to solicit the resale or rental of your timeshare is a huge red flag.

I spoke with them and they are actually willing to pay us for the units. Everyone else that has contacted us has ask for money upfront. Just curious if anyone had used them and what their experience was?

Be very careful here - these offers almost always have hidden fees. They often wait until they have you good and hooked, and then a fee pops up. Often they will tell you they have a buyer or renter all ready to go, and all you have to do is to pay XYZ fee, to get the big check. But after you pay the fee it turns out that there is no buyer, no check, and you can't even contact them any more.

If you have to pay them anything - this is a huge red flag. REPUTABLE companies take their fees out of the proceeds of the sale or rental.

Another good site to check is the Licensed Timeshare Resale Brokers Association

The members of that group are dedicated to trustworthy brokerage services.

Yes I can vouch for them, I've used them on several occasions. They're very reputable and Jay has always been great to work with.

Their mailing address also appears to be just a post office box at a PostNet storefront (likely similar to the UPS Store).

Even if it isn't shill, it seems like blatant advertising for a company that seems to market their services to Marriott timeshare owners, at least per their testimonials on thier website.

It's interesting to me how negative some of these comments are. Yes I have used them several times Sandy. Jay has been in business for a few years and apparently has decided to set up a "store front" because his business has gotten so large. If you're interested give him a call instead of Googling. The lady at the beginning of the thread was just looking for someone to rent her points and or weeks to. They don't collect money up front like the timeshare resale scams that some have referred to. Anyway, last post. Can't say it's not been slightly amusing being part of a thread on TUGG

Well We signed up them to give it a try as we have no other use for the units or points this year. We spoke to the lady several times and she was happy to answer any questions we had. They put every thing in writing for us so wee shall see. Either way I hope we don't have to vacation with all these angry cynical people on this site. We were hoping for some advice and someone directed us to this site. But really seems like a bunch of nasty people with not much to do.

I am always fascinated when shills get outed....it works to warn any future customers how said company conducts business to attract "clients"

given that the address you put on your TUG membership is the EXACT same one used to register the domain "notimesharefees dot com"...I think its fairly safe for anyone here to come to the conclusion that you werent here as just a timeshare owner looking for advice.

We certainly have a reason to be cynical, yours is not the first situation we have seen like this and it certainly won't be the last. The company may well have a legitimate business model, but sending people here to advertise for them isn't the way to go about it. They can certainly pay for advertising if they want to obtain clients for a legitimate business.
