Has anyone dealt with Reliable Timeshare Exit? They are saying that they can get us out of the Grandview Resort for 3600.00

Then they will file a complaint for deceptive practices when we bought our timeshare 17 years ago to get 50% of what we paid. Also, our maintenance fees would be refunded. We have no mortgage and are up to date on our fees. They are telling us there are new laws that are allowing them to do this. Sounds like a scam to me.

You already answered your question.

If you have Grandview and don't want it anymore, post it here and maybe someone will take it off your hand without you spending anything. You can sweeten the deal by covering the transfer fee (about 270 to the transfer company LT Transfer and about 250 to the resort)

Absolute baloney, as you figured out. 17 years ago deceptive practices? Almost all timeshares are sold with lies and inuendo. No one forced you to sign anything, did they?

Nobody is surprised that there is yet another scam timeshare exit company that has come out of nowhere promising to get you out of your timeshare. What makes this one especially fantastical is that they are also telling you that they will file a lawsuit and get you a refund of 50% of your purchase price and a refund of your maintenance fees... from a purchase 17 years ago. Sounds absolutely crazy, doesn't it?

Reliable Timeshare Exit's website was created July 2, 2024. Their address is a mail drop. We have no idea who the running the scam because there is no corporate entity and there is no information on the website. We have seen multiple times previously where convicted criminals have been running the scam operation.

Compare the testimonials of "Antwon Shields" and "Mr. and Mrs. Case" on Reliable Timeshare Exit's website and the testimonials of "Antwon Shields" and Dr. and Mrs. Case" from the website of an unrelated company called Timeshare Solutions Plus, (whose website was created back in 2015, well before Reliable Timeshare Exit's website). Spoiler alert- they are identical. If those two are fake/stolen, then all of their reviews will be fake.

Dr. Case, who was a doctor in 2015, must have gotten his license suspended in 2024. Poor guy. Maybe his traumatic worry about his burdensome second timeshare (the one he apparently didn't exit in 2015) impacted his ability to provide effective medical care.

I'm just happy that Antwon and the Cases, and all the other exit company clients, finally got out. What a relief that must have been.

And they can not only get you out of your timeshare, but also 50% of your purchase price from 17 years ago and ALL your maintenance fees refunded? For a mere $3600? Even though statutes of limitations on contracts are commonly 5 years? Wow! These guys are not only legal geniuses, but also saints.

Every day a new scam.

They should try this scam with car owners. There are more of them. Stop picking on timeshare owners!

"You paid too much for a car when you bought it from the dealer 17 years ago and now they will give you half of what you paid for it back and refund you all that money you spent on tires and gas over the years. New law."

"Reliable"? :ROFLMAO:

Today, I received a phone call from Tennessee. The man said he worked for Global vacations network and he found my phone number on TUG2. I have my timeshare in Grand Cayman listed for rent.

He was offering to sell my timeshare through his company. He was calling from Nashville. ( checked the phone number)

The phone number is 615-570-1105.

I did not give him my name, but he said he would find out if he could rent my timeshare and get back to me. I am not interested in selling at this time. When I asked what the market price for the Grand Cayman timeshare week was, he looked it up and said it was about 32,000. I know this is not true.

I told him that I had lost money years ago in a similar situation with a company called Global Resorts/Vacations located in Florida. I paid 600 upfront for them to advertise my timeshare rental and never heard from them again. I was given a brochure at the resort by staff and that is the only reason I trusted the referral to this company. I reported the scam to the government and they said the company was being investigated but were doubtful that my money would be returned. Pam Bondi was the lead at the time.

I realize that this is another scam, just with new people.

I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau so that other people who are searching this company will be aware. I also blocked his number but expect someone new will call me again.

Thank you very much and have a wonderful day.

They cannot even spell cancellation, so they likely cannot get a cancellation and refund via a lawsuit.

I am not sure it would work, though, because most people would probably spot it as an absurd foolish scam.

Why people don't with timeshares I don't know. Maybe the same people who fell for developer scam, fall for the exit scammers?

I agree. After all, what was one of the selling points that the sales person used to get the person to buy? It was convincing the buyer that he or she could easily turn around and sell it for well above the "today only" price.
