This morning i was able to successfully use my StarOptions from our new Sheraton Vistana Villages resort we bought on ebay a couple months ago to make a reservation at Harborside in a 2 bedroom unit (non-lockoff).

We were told Harborside has some 2br's that can hold 8, while some other 2br units there only hold 6. At the time they only had the ones that could hold max 6 people. I made the reservation!

We were planning initially to go there with 6 adults and 1 toddler (will be 2 years old by then) that would be in a crib. But on the SVO phone number where I made the reservation the person said really it's a max of 6 heartbeats, doesn't matter if the child is only 1 or 2 years old, it still uses up one of the occupancy numbers, and the max is 6.

She also gave me the phone # to the concierge at Harborside who I could call for more info on meal plans, exclusions, etc. Before I got off the phone I also had to give her the names of the 6 people in our party (for the wrist-bands).

After I got off the phone, I called the concierge phone # at harborside, spoke to a very friendly person who said yes in theory it's max 6 people in the 2br unit we booked. But that at the front desk they do have some discretion, and if we have a 2 year old toddler that would sleep in a crib, they would allow us when we arrive to have 6 adults and that one 2 year old in that 2br unit. I was still a bit concerned as when I made the reservation I had to give the actual names of the people, so of course when we get there, there would be 1 name not on the list. But he said not to worry, and also said when we eventually arrive to mention this has been authorized by (he gave me a name, which for privacy reasons I won't post here publicly) and everything will be ok. As long as the toddler was really that young, and could sleep in a crib.

Anyone else ever travel to harborside with a 1 or 2 year old toddler? Were they able to offer some discretion when you arrived in person to not count the baby against the occupancy number of people that can be in the room? i.e. in our situation it will be 6 adults 1 baby, in a 2br unit that SVO says fits 6 people. This is *not* one of the 2br units that can hold 8 + 1 (rollaway bed). It's one of the others that's listed as 6 max.

Still worried that when we finally arrive there, if there's a problem we're going to have 1 person standing around with no place to go ;-)

Congratulations on getting into Harborside. I made the same trade myself & can't wait to go. Sorry I have no advice on the maximum occupancy... I think as long as you have the persons name who ok'd the situation, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's not like they are going to throw the 2yo out on the streets! LOL!

You will find no issues with toddler restrictions-- except the possible discomfort in cramped quarters. They ask on for the adult occupant names only, and that establishes the number of bracelets you receive each day. They don't give bracelets to 3 yr olds and younger- so you are fine.

A 2 bdrm should be more than adequate to hold 6 adults + 1 child, especially if the child sleeps in the master bdrm with the parents. Heck, you don't even need a crib if there's a king bed.

When I made Harborside reservations they did not ask me for each person's name...

Congratulations! The dedicated 2 bedroom sleeps 6 people, the lock-off unit sleeps 8. You can add a cot to both for additional sleeping.

We add all of our names when we check-in. Its not really required until then anyway. A 2 year old child will not count against the room occupancy.

Don't worry, you have the room and reservation number. When check-in, just have all of the names of the people over the age of 3 on the reservation.

Just curious, what week were you able to get?

Last year we were not allowed to add a cot to a traditional 2 bedroom. We had a party of 6 but wanted my children not to have to share the sleeper sofa but were declined when making the resv., by the concierge online, and at check in.

It may be a fire code violation to put in a cot and/or allow more than 6 occupants.
