Harbor Ridge, ME: HOA-owned weeks available for FREE!

If I was going to get a week for trading in II I would grab the week 40 or 41. Decent Mf, good trade value, possible rental too. I am tempted but already have too much vacation to use.
Me too - I would like a good trader and lower MF for it is always enticing, but I have too many things in motion and learning stuff, and don't have any more spare money for trips right now lol. I might have to look for if anyone is renting out summer weeks sometime, it would be less than the Blue Nose Inn I stayed at for 3 days last time I went there and cost an arm and a leg.

Shower curtains....really? ;)
Missed that. No, not usually. But I don't know that I'd have a huge problem with it. Timesharing isn't staying in a hotel. I expect to have to do a little. (I'm also someone who cooks and does laundry when I'm there!) Again...to each their own!

I had to read that thing three times to catch the shower curtain. That and bagging the bedding are a bit much. The rest is normal.

This would be difficult for me to get to living in Florida.
There are direct Allegiant flights to Bangor, Maine from Sanford/Orlando airport. Harbor Ridge is about 1.25 hours from Bangor, Maine.

I'm sure you could, but ask Annette or Margaret at Harbor Ridge at 866-384-0231. Both are great to work with.
can this be added to one's individual II account? (so don't have to pay for two membership fees?)
It all depends on the affiliation agreement that your other resort has with Interval International. For example, if you are a Hyatt resort owner, then a second II membership would be required. In general, if your Interval membership is included in your resort's maintenance fee, then you would be required to get a second membership.

What airport is closest to the resort?
There is an international airport in Bangor, Maine (BGR), which is 1.25 hours away. There is a commuter airport called Bar Harbor Trenton (BHB) is 15 minutes away, with service from Boston.

I think I see why they're giving these weeks away though - unless you did like cross country skiing I think it's too cold most of the weeks in the list. I guess I should keep an eye open for sales of summer weeks if anyone ever does sell them on though - I enjoyed going to Acadia in August a few years ago for my birthday, but the hotels were insane.
You can call or email Harbor Ridge and request their summer week listings at any time. It is a no pressure sale experience. Currently, there is a week in mid June for $3840, and late August alternate year weeks for sale as low as $2736.

Wait so II assigns points to this resort although it is deeded fixed week or was it converted to points?
Harbor Ridge has a Club Interval Gold membership agreement with Interval. Club Interval Gold (CIG) is an add-on, points based membership that must be activated directly through the resort. This membership allows a Harbor Ridge owner to exchange their week as points. For example, a summer, two-bedroom week at a premiere resort is typically worth 105,000 CIG points, which could be traded into a premier resort in Myrtle Beach in January for almost three weeks (38,500 pts for each week).

These points might trade as strong as other points program in II, such as Hyatt or DVC. Likely cheaper too but I am just guessing.

Haven't stayed there since shortly after the turn of the century. Great place, great staff and nice to see Annette is still there. Spent about 12 weeks there including one in February (only 6 units were occupied)when it snowed on checkout morning. The instructions for check out are not familiar, so I guess they changed since my last stay there.

I’m 99% sure all of these weeks are still available. Thanks for the question and bump!

Can you update with what weeks are still available?
These were some of the weeks available with the asking price when I last visited in June.

The list above are owned by current owners— thanks for sharing it. The list of weeks in my original post are HOA-owned weeks that are still FREE to a good home. 2026 MFs are planned to still be under $750 per week.
