Happy Thanks Giving you all !!!

After it was all said and done, it was a fun time and I thought that all of the left over food was sent off. One of our guests had brought over an entire smoked ham still in the original Safeway wrapper and I found it in the fridge. I asked my wife what or why this is in the fridge. She said a guest had gave it to her yesterday so she put it in the fridge. It's too big to fit in the freezers as a whole ham. It's a 12 pounder. That's todays problem, lol.

I had a Turkey Sandwich for Breakfast with Dessing on the side. Will have same for Lunch. Will have Opened Face Hot Turkey Sandwiches with Mashed Potatoes for Dinner tonight. Tomorrow will have Goop for Dinner - left over Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, and Gravey all mixed together and baked in a Casserole Dish.

I decided to pressure the ham and cook the rest in a crock pot. It looks like 10 pints of should be ready to cool by 2 and I'm not sure about the crock pot because of the fat. I try to keep most of the fat out of the meat canning which leaves fat in the crock pot meat and bone. I guess I could leave it outside tonight and most of the fat should be skimable.

Definitely a first world problem! :) Cut it up into more manageable pieces so you can enjoy it when the mood (and appetite) strikes. I LOVE some miscellaneous bits from smoked ham (and if you have it- the bone) to go into a big pot of beans. I like those bags of 7-bean soup to make these.

I guess it wasn't too happy of a day for the Lions, Chiefs, Ravens, and their respective fans.
Yes, it was a disappointing game. Lions are still 7-5. I used to be excited when the Lions finished a season 6-10 so it has been an adjustment to the new Lions.

Yup, a first world problem for sure. The ham ended up pressure cooked in 10 pint jars plus a taster 1/2 jar. It's pretty good. I think it will make some really good bean soup. The bone and bits did go into the crock pot but turned out really bland so I tossed most of it.

We usually use Navy beans in the bean soup. I might try a batch of 7-bean sometime this year. I'm guessing they cook the same.

I followed a recipe, sort of, and threw in the leftover turkey and old stuff in the freezer for a decent stew. It will take care of me for a week.
