Tuesday in was 80 degrees, and yesterday it was snowing. Fortunately, the snow melted quickly. Only 84 days until we escape winter.

Happy Aloha Friday from Seaside, Oregon. We are staying at the Worldmark. We are in a Ocean Front 3 Bedroom Penthouse on the 6th Floor. We are here for the Cannon Beach Stormy Weather Art Festival. We have been coming to this event for about 20 years. Some years you can wear shorts and Tee Shirts. Other times the storms have been so bad the Power has gone out and roads have flooded. This year the Festival is going to live up to its name.

Happy Aloha Friday. We had maybe six trick or treaters last night. They got to split an entire box of full sized candy bars for making the trek up the hill. All six were grand kids.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! Hard to believe it's the first Aloha Friday in November already. 2024 is rolling right along.
This week's picture keeps us on Molokai but takes us over to the West side at Ke Nani Kai. We decided to take a staycation and spend a week at Ke Nani Kai and enjoy a week on the dryer side of the island. Yes, those are turkeys in the picture. We have a two bedroom unit so stop over for a visit.
Enjoy and have an Awesome Aloha Friday and a Great Weekend!!!

Happy Aloha from Salem Oregon. Today we traveled Home from the Worldmark in Seaside Oregon. Our stay got extended by 1 day. When we were driving from Salem to Seaside 8 days ago we stopped at a Rest Stop on Hwy 26 to switch Drivers and use the Facilities. As Patti was adjusting the Steering Wheel (telescoping) there was a clunk and a large plastic nut fell to the floor. A few minutes later a large plastic screw fell to the floor. She relocked the steering wheel and we continued to Seaside. Friday we went to the local Chevrolet Dealer. After several hours they determined it could not be repaired and we needed a whole new column. They recommended not driving the truck. It is a 10.5 year old 1500 Silverado Crewcab. Only has 71,000 miles. So we got a rental. Unfortunately it was so late Friday that the Order would not take place until Monday. On Sunday Patti traveled home to Salem with friends that came over just for the Weekend and then drove her car back to Seaside. We turned in the Rental on Monday. Then the Shipping Company shut down for Tuesday's Elections. When it appeared obvious that we would not get the truck back in time to checkout on Thursday I went online and Booked Thursday Night. Thursday morning I went down to the Front Deak at 7am (checkout is 10am and checkin is normally not until 4pm) and asked if they could locate a Unit that was clean but no one was scheduled to check into until Friday. That way we could simply move Units Thursday Morning and not have to wait to 4pm. The Assistant GM approved our request. It worked. We finally got the Truck back COB Thursday. Drove Home this morning.

We decided to spend Thanksgiving at The Point at Poipu. I’ll be submitting a review, but wanted to highlight a few things from this week. It’s been very windy most days, but, overall, the weather has been great. It’s rained a few nights, but today is the only day it rained during daytime...

Love the room view pics!
I'll be at Point at Poipu in 10 days. I have Ocean Front, we'll see what I get.
However, there is a lot to be said for a view of some landscape and the grounds, especially at night when OF view is just all black.
I have had OF bldg 8 corner where one side sees the cliffs past shipwreck and the other side looks over the pool. requested that one again if I don't get into the remodeled bldg 6.
Maui the week after Thanksgiving as well!
Small older resort called Kuleana Club out past Lahaina near Kanaplali.

I almost took a week at the Kuleana Club years ago. It's in a nice area.

Happy Aloha Friday!!! We are coming to a close on our staycation here on the West side of Molokai. The East side got some heavy rain but we still got some here on the West side too. We head home tomorrow.

A Happy Aloha Friday. Good morning from a rainy day in Coastal Virginia. Today is a joyful day, as I will journey to the Coast Guard Station, in Yorktown, VA. to witness my Grandchild to be promoted to a Lieutenant in the Coast Guard.
