Most of the reviews sound like non-timeshare exchanges, but instead rentals. And most of them are summertime when the rates are out of sight. I've read TUG reviews and they're limited. Is there anything going on in the area that would make it worthwhile to go there the end of January? I know this resort would be best in summer or at least late spring, early fall. I'll never get that exchange. Should I just skip the end of January one? Opinions please. :)

I guess their spa is supposed to be pretty nice, but I wouldn't go out there in January, brrrrr. There were recently 'sightings' of a mid summer week both in 2006 and 2007 so lightning does strike twice. Tripadvisor crowd seems to be an overly negative bunch.

I have to agree about both things....

I do also find that the folks who go on Tripadvisor are overly negative. I think sometimes human nature is to shout out loudly when you don't like something and sometimes smile to yourself when it was good. Also, January is super brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Thanks. I'm only searching with my low trader, although I've gotten some decent to great stuff with it. But I guess winter at the beach up north isn't what one would necessarily call decent and definitely not great. ;)
