What does a guest cerificate do ?

If you have control of the unit (either through owning or exchange) but you want to let other people use it, you will need a Guest Certification. So the resort will not give the unit to other people. Some charge. If you are a fix week owner, and it is the week you own, it usually does not charge.

The RCI confirmation- if it is an exchange- has to be in the name of the person checking in. If it is not you, then for a fee, RCI creates one in the name of the user. If you are an owner often you will not need to do more than just inform the resort, usually via email, that someone other than you is occupying the unit and provide that person's name.
