Aoha Kid: I heard a rumor that they laid off 500 people at Princeville. Have you noticed any changes. If true it's so sad to hear.

Princeville Hotel Closed

Princeville Hotel is closed for renovations.

Restaurant at Bali High is still closed.

Snack shop at the Chevron Station looking more appealing all the time.

Food at foodland in PV cheaper than Safeway in Kaapa (at least for what I buy).

Holo holo trip to Niihau a blast but exhausting 7.5 hrs and then you drive :D back.

dinner suggestion

We had dinner at the Mediterranean Gourmet at the Hanelei Colony Resort last Wednesday night and the meal was fabulous, live music, an excellent guitarist, and wine was 1/2 price!

Misting this morning and overcast. Forecast was for Kauai to get clobbered by the storm but Oahu is the place with flooding, closed roads, land slides, etc today.

Mediterian That's the place on toward Ke'e Beach, right?

We ate at the Olympic Cafe in Kaapa at noon yesterday. Food fine, service good, on the second floor.

Got an $9 Breakfast burrito in the Princeville Shopping Center. Asked for salsa and found out that was $1.75 extra when I got the bill. Won't go back again, neither was good.

We love the Olympic Cafe and it's a GREAT place for people watching since it's open air along one side.

If you like Thai food, there is a place across from Pono Kai/Kapaa in shopping center that used to have Whalen's art studio. Prices reasonable and pretty good food.

Yes the Mediterranean Gourmet is near Ke'e and I think between miles 7 and 8. If you make it there, enjoy!

Don't eat at the Princeville Shopping Center unless it's Lapperts. Really surprised something a little more commercial hasn't moved in there, must be the rent.

Going to try the Mediterranean Gormet for dinner tonight. Stay tuned for my review.

Lunch at CJ's in Princeville yesterday was just ok but something was lacking. Won't go back there either.

Dinner at the Princeville Golf Course was ok and we'd return especially to see the sunset.

Had a coconut cream pie from the Village Snack shop in Hanalei yesterday. Something to die for. We'll go back again, and again and again. No will power after you taste it.

Does US Air charge extra for a seat belt extension? :D

By the way our US Air flight was flawless. Left and arrived on time and they didn't run over our baggage.

On our Oct trip the pilot showed up an hour late at Phoenix, the printer failed so they couldn't release the plane for a while, and the door adjar light wouldn't go off in the cockpit until 3 mechanics fixed it to a standing ovation!!!
