Grandview purchase question

I've been looking at a couple of options, among them RCI points.

There's a Grandview Las Vegas listed on ebay for what appears to be in a reasonable range (2k starting bid for 122k RCI points and $877 mf). I asked the seller the dates for the mf and points to the account and got a super fast response that mf was 1/1 but points to the account depended on "on the anniversary date they issue you."

I"m new to this (this would be my first purchase of any type TS) but I thought I understood that it would be dictated by the contract being sold (I realize that I'm probably wrong), so I wrote back as such and got:

"Actually they are creating a new RCI points account, the sellers account is not transferable. Full points will be issued for 2023"

Does that sound right?

The last part about a new RCI account being created is correct. But, depending upon the conditions of the sale if there are 2022 points remaining they could be transferred from the seller's account to your new account once set up. RCI does charge a fee for that which should be outlined in your sales agreement.

But, the part about the number of points is a little fuzzy to me based upon your wording. The number of points you receive for a resort week is based upon the week that appears on the deed. High demand weeks will receive the highest number of points.
