What, if any, are the differences between units designated MGV and MGR by II?

There is no difference for exchange purposes. One of the two designations identifies the specific week as having been sold as part of the multi-resort Florida Club. Thus, two different weeks in the same unit at the resort might well have different (MGV and MGR) designations.
