I am highly suspicious of the Reservation System Charge. I already pay an annual fee as an enrolled owner that is supposed to cover my access to the Marriott DC Reservation System. Appears to be 'double billing' to me. Anyone else affected by this? :shrug:

There is no double charging happening here. This is somewhat unique to the Florida Club properties. Those properties don't include the "Owner Services" fee as a line item in their budget. All other properties have this fee in the general budget.

For the Florida Club Properties, the paper invoice has a line item for "Florida Club Fee". This fee is equal to the "Owner Services Fee" that is listed as a line item in every other resorts general budget plus $4. The $4 is the true Florida Club fee since every one is paying the Owner Services fee.

This year our Harbour Lake general budget has a line item for Owner Services in the amount of $38.78. Grande Vista doesn't have this, but if you subtract $4 from the Florida Club Fee of $42.78 on the bill, it comes out to this same $38.78 that everyone else is paying in the general budget for their property.

Thank you DIOXIDE for explaining this in detail for the umpteenth year that people don't pay attention to their MFs. Sorry if I offend some owners but really are you concerned about a $40.00 charge that has remained stable since 2001 while the rest of your MFs have doubled?

It is great that the Florida Club Fee has remained at only $4 for all these years. That is the only item that hasn't gone up. Unfortunately the Owner Services fee has risen and I am sure will continue to do so.

Owner Services Fee with percentage increases over the years;
2008 $26.00 -
2009 $28.00 7.69%
2010 $28.70 2.50%
2011 $29.56 3.00%
2012 $30.45 3.01%
2013 $31.36 2.99%
2014 $32.30 3.00%
2015 $33.43 3.50%
2016 $38.78 16.00%


Overall a 49.15% increase over that period.

I am not sure why there was such a large increase this year?
