Just got this message, so how are things?

**Currently Marriott Grande Vista will be undergoing an enhancement project. During this time of your stay, please anticipate construction noise and obstructed views between the hours of 9am to 5pm.*

Ouch we were consider a trip there over next several months. What range of time are you going? Did they clarify how long it would be going on?

There is always some sort of construction going on at Grande Vista. The property is huge and they are constantly doing refurbs or minor maintenance around the property. We've stayed in buildings right next to ongoing work and didn't even notice it other than some parking spaces being blocked off and having to wait 5 seconds for the workers as they drove around the parking lots.

If you're super concerned about it call the pre-arrival desk and say you have small children that nap and see if they'll place you in a section/village not undergoing the work.

You'll be fine - enjoy your stay!

We are owners and were there in September. I was absolutely amazed with the new renovations. There was no noise from construction. As a matter of fact, we stayed in Cypress Harbour (newest unit) and Grand Vista in September and just returned from Lakeshore Reserve (newest unit in Messina building) on Thursday. Grand Vista's newest rehabs tops them all, especially the master suite with the sliding barnyard door and huge shower. We didn't want to leave. Ok, so Lakeshore is still number one for us in Orlando, but the new units at Grand Vista topped it for us.

Our kids obviously didn't have an updated 3 bedroom lockoff. The units were beautiful, however. They always are, and the kids love the space. They prefer the dedicated 3 bedroom over the lockoff, but it was still very nice.

We had the two bedroom renovated lock off at Grand Vista that was amazing. I'm pretty hard to impress, but this unit really did it for us. I was actually at Cypress Harbour for a few days during the same time. This was a last minute trip for my daughter so the units were back to back. When I checked in that unit at Grand Vista, I didn't want to go back to Cypress Harbour. :cheer: We didn't use any of the facilities that week at Grand Vista, but we did at Cypress. I have another thing to add regarding my stay at Lakeshore, but I'll add it on a posting.

Anyone have photos of the renovated MGV rooms that are so impressive?

I’d like more information as well, will be heading there this weekend. I have contacted pre-arrival but haven’t heard back yet.

I am so sorry that my daughter didn't take pictures while at Grand Vista. Since we have been traveling now about 25 years, we rarely take pictures of the units unless there is something really special. I will tell you though that we stayed in Orlando 5 times this year and Grand Vista's newest units was the best of them all for me. Just call GV and request a unit in the newest building. Yes, the unit was better than at Lakeshore Reserve. But, Lakeshore Resort is still my number one, especially with the lazy river.

I just got off the phone with Grande Vista and the construction they are referring to is exterior painting of building 100. Other than that, they are done with construction for the year.

We were just there 2 weeks ago and stayed in Building 94 - the renovated rooms are so nice! The only downside was check-in ... took almost an hour because their system apparently can't handle "too many requests."
