Grande Ocean

We're in the Pelican building. View is completely blocked by trees.

My husband is playing golf in the morning, but we're available Tuesday late afternoon or early evening.

By the way, does anyone know the fastest way to drive from Grande Ocean to Savannah and how long should we plan on? We want to be at Lady and Sons before 9am to get lunch reservations. Also, where is the best place to park? It is our first visit to Savannah. Thanks. Debby

Sounds good. We are available Tues early evening. Dave, we would pick you up but we have some errands to run. Let us know where and when.

Debbie, come out 278 and turn onto 46. You'll go through Bluffton and after several miles hit 170 which will dead end into 17 that will take you over the bridge into Savannah. There was a fire underground in Savannah today and everything including Ladies and Sons was closed. Ck to make sure it is open. It will probably take an hour with morning traffic. Another option is to eat at Mrs.Wilkes boarding house on Jones street. You get in line there and eat family style with whomever is in line with you. As a native, I prefer their cooking to Paula's.

Looks like we will be doing Savannah tomorrow also so don't think we will be back until later. I don't think there is a lot of parking around Lady & Sons. Last year we went on a Sunday and were able to park on the road down the street from it. Sounds like tomorrow is suppose to be a great day. We are in Sea Horse and ended up with a good sunrise view.

I know what you mean. We were in Pelican last year and also had a bit of pool noise since it's the only heated out door pool.

I found out we're meeting some friends for diinner tonight at 6:30.

We could meet at 5:30 for a brief hello and a drink, but the 5:30 timing might not work for other folks.

Wild Wings works.

Okay. We'll plan on 5:30 today and we'll meet you in the small room just inside the Wild Wing Cafe front door, but before the separate door into the main part of the restaurant.

Janette and Tommy and I will be there. We will look forward to seeing Julie et al for a drink and Eric et al for dinner. And we can hope the Savannah visitors return in time to join us!

My husband Gary and I will be there at 5:30.

Hope you guys haad a good time. We ended up going to Beaufort instead do to the explosions yesterday in Savannagh. We will give it a go tomorrow instead. Beaufort was great to stroll around and relax and street parking is free for the holidays.

Sorry that you missed our gathering but glad to got to enjoy Beaufort. The low country is a beautiful place to live or visit. It was great to meet everyone tonight. One of the perks of living in Sun City is getting to meet Tuggers who make it to the island. Happy New Year to everyone.

A big thanks to Dave, Janette and Tommy. We enjoyed the meal and meeting Dave, Kathy and Gary for the first time and seeing Janette and Tommy again. Tugers are the greatest! Have a Happy New Year!

Couldn't agree more! We were sorry we had to leave early, but glad we could at least meet everyone.

By the way, dinner at The Studio was excellent, though a bit pricey. We did get 10% off by showing our Grande Ocean key card (they are part of the discount program).

Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year's Eve.

We just got a confirmation from II for an exchange into Ocean Point for next Christmas (used a silver Barony Beach week). We've never been there, so will be looking forward to it.
