I booked an Interval exchange into Grande Ocean and view code indicates ocean front. Thinking of adding a day or two with points and would like to keep same unit. Do they honor view codes at Grande Ocean? It seems to me that I've read in the past that the Hilton Head resorts do not. Just wondering what others have experienced.
 
It varies. I'd call the resort and discuss. If you book OF on points they likely will honor the code but even if so, that does not guarantee a good view.

In my experience, it helps to add points reservations in the same view classification so you can stay in the same villa. I've been successful with this approach at Surf Watch unless a significant number of villas in that view classification are out of service due to refurbishment or maintenance projects.
 
I'm here now on an exchange and they honored by ocean front view and they let me stay in the same villa starting this Friday even though it isn't ocean front.
 
They've honored our OF view code on an exchange, though it was off season. As noted, OF may not mean a great view of the ocean. There are units on the sides of Sea Horse and Sand Castle that are considered OF but aren't really OF and some have zonker views. I just posted a photo of our view from Sea Horse OF.
