Grande Ocean room assignment

FYI, MGO has traditionally had higher than normal %'s of owners who occupy, regardless of season. They are intensely loyal, and don't relinquish their ownership weeks as much as other resorts......that's been true for over a decade. 80% does not sound unreasonable at all for MGO in the Fall.

So I think they say whatever they want to just to make us shut up.

I think a lot of resorts do this. In some cases the front desk person may not even know how or why you ended up with the unit you did. So they have standard lines that they use to try to appease guests that are unhappy.

I am a owner there and was assigned first floor in Kingfisher for a mid September week. We were trading back in to our season on a week that we had "banked" a year ago. I had requested a high floor in Sandpiper. Same excuse "high owner occupancy"

Kathy, this is helpful; it makes me feel better. I literally could not sleep well last night as I was so incensed because I couldn't believe what they were telling me and I felt they were lying.

So how was the view? Did sun come into the unit? I desperately need sun. We're in the corner unit nearest the ocean side. Thanks!

We own a gold week at GO and a silver week at Barony, and we have always used our weeks.

And while we always request a high floor, that often results in our landing on the third floor. So it makes perfect sense to me that (even in silver season), owners are occupying the top three floors.

Want to be on a high floor? Then do a direct exchange with an owner --

Perhaps my disappointment is relative to the fact that in March 2007 we traded in for the first time to Grande Ocean and were assigned the 5th floor of Sand Dollar. So they spoiled me!
