The Grand Bliss can use the GM pools etc

But the GM can't use the GB pools etc.

The suites are slightly nicer in the GB, you can't go wrong with either.

Bliss is more luxury. At Vallarta Bliss has no pool and so you would use GM pool

We own GM and have chosen not to upgrade to GB. I did not find the GB more luxurious. We like the GM better.

The Grand Bliss has a sofa and loveseat instead of 2 sofas and the island has two undercounter refrigerators like the MP has - aka - large dorm sized. These two refrigerators are not any larger than the one in the GM kitchen. The microwave is nicer in the GB. My biggest complaint is that they took out the drawers in the bedrooms. We always use those and have 3 each for our clothes so that we do not have to use the suitcases. There are only 2 drawers now - 1 each. The TV's are nicer and owners get free WIFI at GB, but exchangers have to pay.

You cannot go wrong with either.

Is there construction in Grand Bliss like Grand Luxxe? We worry about the noise construction at Grand Luxxe and now thinking of going to Grand Bliss? Can Grand Bliss use the facility in Grand Luxxe? Is Grand Luxxe the newest resort?

The Grand Bliss is away from the construction noise. Personally, I prefer it to the Grand Mayan as it is quieter and a little plusher - beautiful lobby. All the real pool action (Lazy river, etc) is in front of the Grand Mayan (just next door from GB). If you are an exchanger, you will get free internet in the GB. You are only supposed to if an owner, but when there in December, it was all open wireless. In the GM, an exchanger will have to pay. Either is great.

The Grand Luxxe Villa followed by the GL suite is the top of the food chain; more room, more luxury but currently in the construction zone. The GL does have it's own pools but the real action except for pool lounging is the GM pools. The plans (after construction) will change that dramatically due to the plans around the GL units.

I will be at the GL in two weeks - will get to see for myself the construction zone.

- Pecking order is correct. There is also Mayan Palace and Sea Garden (fading away into the Sunset) after those.

- The GL does have it's own pools - very nice, expansive, and less crowded, but does not have the water park atmosphere of the GM pools. The GM pools are the centerpiece of activities - also where all the kiddos are. When we are there, we use both depending on our mood.

- The GB will have it's own pool; it was reasonably far along in December but not sure of current status. The GB also had open internet throughout the bldg when we were there.

- Each ownership level can use all the facilities of the lower tiers. GB cannot use the GL pools - no big loss at this time.

The Grand Bliss is quite close to GM pools (and better yet for me, quite close to the golf clubhouse). The Grand Luxxe (depending on which unit can be a good walk (5-10 minutes) or golf cart) to the pools. The walk is beautiful if you go through the gardens around the lagoon. Normally, they have golf carts running continually from the Luxxe units.

Until the GL planned grounds are complete, I would recommend trading into the GM or the GB - not the GL.

Hi Mike, do you know the anticipated completion date for the planned grounds? I have back to back weeks scheduled in the GL and GB in early Nov. this year.

I have no clue as to when the GL grounds will be completed. I have given up trying to estimate; they can move quickly when they decide to focus, but they change focus a lot. Getting GL buildings complete seems to be their current focus. I would guess that the grounds will still be incomplete when you go.

When I was at the resort for Jan 6-20, there was no work being done on the Grand Bliss pool complex. Looks like it can be awhile before it's finished.

Yes, both have free shuttle to the resort; would need to take taxi back. You need to contact the resort to set up (customerservice@grupovidanta.com - I think)

All levels have complimentary shuttle from the airport to the resort. Concierge at the level you are staying coordinates the shuttle.
When we left Nuevo before New Year's, the GB pool was being formed in the area where the models had been. There IS WORK being done.
MYIP, the Nuevo GL pool area and new beach that was opened while we were there in Dec is the most impressive that I have seen anywhere. The 2 infinity pools are incredible plus the other adjoining pools. The Punta Arena building, there and just completed, boasts the custom gormet burger restaurant,bar, plus the new restaurant "Si" by the edge of the pools overlooking the river. The food is excellent, even for the first week!! Cool towels, popscicles, and glasses cleaned are some of the amenities offered during the afternoon.
I'm not sure about the question for proximity to the beach.....you are there!!!
As far as the buildings....if you are facing them with your back to Banderas Bay...starting left: Grand Mayan with several buildings, Grand Bliss with 1 building, Mayan Palace with 2 sections, and Grand Luxxe One with 2 and 3 across the road and 2 others started. Unless you have difficulty walking, the paths take you in front of all 3 with more interesting winding ways available to do the same route.
GL was/is quieter and you can easily go to Grand Mayan for the tequila volley ball and crazy games.

There may have been work being done on the GB pools when you were there, leaving before New Year's.
As I wrote, there was NO WORK being done between January 6 through 20.
Why can you not accept anything you consider negative (it was not the intent) being reported about the Mayan resort complex?

Ouch......Not following your train of thought. Did not see anything negative that I need to accept, just trying to be informative. Friends there after 1/20 report work is being done on GB pool. Maybe it will be done in stages and not be done all at once so sometimes there is activity and at other times none? Are we ok now??

I was there 1/20 to 2/3 and saw no work on GB pool.
There was some construction between GM and GB buildings but could not find out what was being built.
