Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta - construction update?

We will be at the Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta in early August. We were wondering if anyone has recently stayed there and can give us an update on construction at the resort and if it is interfering at all with stays at the GM. Also, we know it is low season but we are assuming all of the pools, slides, lazy river are open... can anyone confirm?

We were there at spring break and had no problems with any construction whatsoever. there was some construction on the golf courses but it did not affect our stay. But that was in april
