Not sure if I should ask this over in the Mexico forum, but I'll try here first.

So Hilton has two options for Cabo (currently)
Fiesta Americana (the one with the multiple room stypes)
and
Grand Fiestsa Americana (the ones with ONLY double rooms)

Does anyone know if the Double rooms have lockouts? Like if you were a family of 4, you could maybe request two together?

Not sure if this actually answers your question but here goes,

We stayed at Fiesta Americana Villas Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf and Spa Resort last year in a 2 Bedroom (2LO). This was actually a one bedroom suite and a studio with a connecting door (lockout). The rooms were beautiful and the amenities were top notch. We really enjoyed our vacation and Cabo.

Does anyone know if the Double rooms have lockouts?
I assume that you know this is actually the same property. One is the TS and the other is the hotel portion of the resort. I actually haven't stayed in the hotel portion of the property before so I don't know the answer either to your question. I would call the resort (easy for me because it is free on my cell plan) at +52 624-145-6200, if you don't get a response here.

Yes, same property, but the info on here is only for the timeshare side of it.

On the Hotel side, there are no connecting rooms I found out, for the "hotel/studio" style of rooms.
What's even stranger is that those rooms have TWO queen beds, but they still limit to 2 person occupancy (not just adults, 2 people period). How strange.

We also stayed at TS area in a 2bdr and it was LO

Thanks, but that's not the hotel side. HGV website lists this property in two distinct sections. Fiesta Americana (which is the timeshare side) with different room types.

Then they list the Grand Fiesta Americana, which is the *hotel* side and only *one* room type, which is a Double (hotel/studio).

I am a Favc member, last time that I called they told me that the AI is mandatory only for hotel side.

Lucky you, but AI is mandatory for HGVC members even when booking TS side.

We are considering staying here with a group of friends October 2025 via HGVC.

What does the AI plan include specifically? Does it include any services or just food and alcohol? Any lists of which food and brands of alcohol? Is there a way to get ahold of the discounted AI coupons that I have seen others talk about?

Can we get two 2BR LO near each other?

Is there a preferred building we should request?

Do they have an airport shuttle?

What is Cabo like in October? Storm season?

Do they press for a timeshare tour? Is it an HGVC tour or FA tour? Incentives?

Thanks...

  • 2025 Pricing: $173 per adult, per night and $127 per child, ages 5-12, per night will be charged. Children under age 5 will not be charged a fee.
It doesn't include the high-end brands or restaurants (or some menu items cost extra). I don't have specifics. I don't know about coupons but you might be able to get a lower price with a sales tour.
Can we get two 2BR LO near each other?
Yes but they probably won't be next door.
Is there a preferred building we should request?
For a 2BR LO, I like phase I. I have stayed in all 4 phases in the last 10 years. I have done this many times and made that exact request.
Do they have an airport shuttle?
They don't but they will recommend a shuttle service.
What is Cabo like in October? Storm season?
This is hurricane season.

From AI, Cabo San Lucas's hurricane season typically runs from mid-May to the end of November, with the peak risk occurring between August and October. While the season is long, hurricanes rarely impact the region in May or November, and most stormy weather occurs in September.
Do they press for a timeshare tour? Is it an HGVC tour or FA tour? Incentives?
Yes, but easy to say no. It will be an FA tour. Yes, good Incentives.

Our last stay was in the hotel section because with mandatory AI, we really didn’t need a kitchen. They upgraded us to a king bed with a nice view and the hotel units are closer to the pool and you don’t need to climb the hills.

That is compelling. And the rooms are much cheaper than the timeshare units. The one issue we have is we’re a group and want to have our interactive time … playing cards or games and drinking and laughing loud and long. Not sure where we could do that at the hotel?

Lots of seating in the lobby bar area and many pools.

The reviews I've been reading talk about the seating at the pools being snatched up early. One review said to get seating at the pool with view of the ocean one had to get there at 3am.

Just discovered the following if you only book the standard hotel room DBL. AI is more expensive. Also what are the implications for the second point for Elite Premier members? Reservation fee?

  • Please be aware that all-inclusive amenities are mandatory at this resort. Members and guests will pay any related fees directly to the front desk.
    • 2025 Pricing: $346 per room, per night. $127 per child, ages 5-12, per night will be charged in addition to the nightly all-inclusive fee. Children under the age of 5 will not be charged a fee. Please note: the all-inclusive price per night is the same regardless of occupancy (1 or 2 guests).
  • Reservations require a standard, non-changeable reservation fee. The normal Club cancellation policy applies.

So we are going to stay in the hotel section. The dates we were looking at only have studio units anyway. Your logic is sound ... stay close to the action. Hope we get the upgraded room.

Did you check the price for the stay outside of RCI? Either directly with the resort or other booking sites?

The only thing to remember in October the marlin tournament happens so the marina will be busy.
