Hello,

Staying at the Grand Desert next weekend x 3 nights in a 2 BR.

Should I request anything in particular? We have 2 kids so proximity to pools would be nice.

We'll have a car, so parking is another consideration.

I suppose view better than no view.

Any suggestions? I know it's late to make any requests but thought I might try.

As long as we are asking how about the 3 bedroom units...Ill be there next April Is there a view to be desired, or avoided (dumpsters)

It depends on what you want a view of....

It is a huge building there are lots of good rooms, and not that many bad ones.

Strip Views..

Best View due West....
Building Belle Torre, Higher floors, Even numbered rooms ending in XX7X.

Side view to strip.....
Building Vista Torre.. All Even Floors face North (mid strip north to Strat view),
Building Vista Torre..All Odd Floors face south (MGM south to AP view).
Building Primo Torre..Even Floors face south, room #34-48 (MGM south to AP view). Smaller but newer building, smaller quite pool.

Pool views....
Building Belle Torre, ALL Odd numbers (Family Pool)
Building Primo Torre ALL Odd numbers (Adult Pool).

Worst room for view in my opinion very low floors, and Primo Torre Even from 32 - 24.

I think garbage and some parking are underground. So that is not really an issue.

Bella Tower is by the family pool, Primo Tower, the adult pool. When we go to Vegas, we prefer the Primo Tower. The exercise room, snack bar and convenience store (Or should I say the ridiculously overpriced convenience store?) are all on floor 1 of Primo tower.

Ron- The only time we stayed in a 3BR it was a Presidential Unit. They are in Primo 1212 & 1216 Paradise Rd view and 1232 corner room. In Vista they are 1484-85,1584-85,1592-93,1594-95. We were in 1232 and liked the room. I don't know where the regular 3BR Units are located.

In over 7 stays there we have never requested a specific room & have never had a bad one. It is a great resort, very well laid out for good views from virtually every room.

Just got back from there.. just a perfect place... I had a view of the pool.. Outstanding! The Priimo building has a 24 hour pool the other pools close at 10, but the deck is always open for enjoying the night sky.
PArking is simple and no cost! The casinos are free parking, except for the downtown area, but the casinos there will validate the ticket.

Take the kids to Carroll Shelby's shop, have them pick out a new Shelby Mustang for dad!!:cheer:

sounds like we'll be happy regardless.

looks like wi-fi has a charge - how much, if you know?

TOO MUCH - I think it was $29 or $35/week. Just plan to use your Hot Spot Smartphone if you have one OR use the free service in the Computer Lounges & in some areas of the (beautiful) front lobby near the Bar area. It was too high a price & the performance was terrible. We used it for two days, got sick of the SLOW speed & weak signal - got our money back & used the smartphone hot spot instead (I was worried about going over our data allowance on the phone we had with us but didn't even get close despite having 5 computers/tablets on line at times. (We were in a party of 11 total - at one point we had 3-2Bed units to handle all of us!)

Wi fi was free when I was there a couple months ago. You get a code at check in

Wi-Fi was free and was pretty good in our room. We have been there three times before and always had a great time. Two more weeks scheduled for next March in a 2BR for 9TPU per week.:)

They also have a free shuttle that takes you to Harrah's on the strip. Very handy and runs frequently.
