It took 60 Days, But My trade just came thru. My Las Vegas April 3rd 2009 Week just landed Easter Week 2009 at Grande Ocean at Hilton Head, Sunday Check in. I put in for all oceanfront propertys , and by luck Grande Ocean. We have been to surfwatch, and harbour pointe all on 1 bedroom trades. You gotta love 2 or 3 Vacations for the price of 1 Maintance fee. We are so Excited!!!

Congrats on your trade!!

Yesterday I put in a trade request for my sister using her efficiency unit at Grande Vista. She recieved a 1bdrm at Aruba Surf Club for next May. I think that an awesome trade too.

I do like the 1 bedroom MGC exchange's we've had so far. We have the 3 bedroom unit and LO the 1 bedroom side for exchange. This past May we were at Barony Beach Club and next May we'll be at Custom House in Boston. IMO both were good exchanges.

On the other hand I've had a request first in for a very specfic date for Newport Coast using the 2 bedroom master suite and can't seem to manage to get that exchange. It's a spring break week for AZ schools and my wife specified it had to be Friday check in only. I guess not having any lattitude in the date's is making it impossible to get the exchange.

MGC one bedroom LO

Doug: You could be right about flexibility at NCV. I just traded my 1 br LO from the MGC 3 br master suite, for a NCV 2br for May 22-29, 2009. I sumitted several NCV dates over a one month span on a request first basis to II. I will now position the remaining week, an MGC 2br master suite, in front the the NCV week making it a two week vacation in Las Vegas and Newport.

So much for people complaining about high annual maintenance fees. ($1,100.) You can make two vacations out of one with a lockoff. It averages out to a little more than $78 per night for a two bedroom TS.

What really makes MGC 3 bedroom units so nice IMO is the fact that the LO trades as a full 1 bedroom unit. We have other LO's where it's a studio unit that is lock's off and, while they do reasonably well they're not nearly as good as what I'm seeing with the 3 bedroom LO at MGC.

FWIW, the MF's for my Plat. 3 bedroom in Vegas is slightly lower than the Silver 3 bedroom LO we own at Ocean Pointe, yet I'm getting better exchanges with the Vegas unit. On a dollar for dollar basis as far as MF's go, Vegas is the better deal. Of course the Vegas LO unit cost us more upfront than our silver season Ocean Pointe unit.
