Looking at MGC, I see the following options when looking to book a 1BR unit:

Between looking at some floorplans on the MVC website and room descriptions on the hotel website, I think I figured that:

- 1BR (Master of 2BR) is what the hotel website calls the "1BR Villa" - about 820 sq ft (seems to have dining for 6?)
- 1BR (Guest of 3BR) is what the hotel website calls the "1BR Smaller Villa" - about 690 sq ft (seems to have dining for 4 inside the kitchen area?)

Is that assessment correct?

Which leaves me with the question - what is "1 Bedroom" (3rd option above)? Is that just a standalone 1BR unit with dining for 4 instead of 6? Is it the 820 sq ft version?

Also - are all 2BR units at MGC lockoffs, or do they have also dedicated 2BRs like Waiohai and NCV? Would the closes be the 2BR part of the 3BR lockoff?

I looked at video I have from a 2BR LO and the 1BR side does have dining that seats 6. The tables are very small though. It is a crowded 6 and there isn't the normal bar stools up against the kitchen counter/bar like you see in many other Marriott units. In fact, one of the units we were in had a dining table attached to the back side of the kitchen cabinets. There are also dedicated 1BR units at Grand Chateau.

I searched for Chateau 2 bdrms and saw two listings. One said (2 entries) , a lock off, and the other was ( master of 3 bdrm). I assume the master of 3 bdrm had only 1 entry door and was a dedicated 2 bdrm. Just my guess tho.

I reserved the 2bdrm with 2 entries.

The 1 bedroom is a true 1 bedroom. I believe they are typically towards the end of the wing.

The master of the two bedroom is the same, but closer to the elevators and shares a pass through door with a studio. I don’t like these style units in Vegas. There are two any couples who stay out late drinking and come back to the studio LOUD. Sometimes it’s fighting over money, sometimes it’s animal sounds if you know what I mean.

The 1 bedroom guest of the 3 bedroom is at the end cap and shares a foyer with the 2 bedroom master suite. It is the smallest of the 1 bedroom units, has a smaller kitchen and a bathroom with a tub/shower combo instead of the soaking tub and stand alone shower. Its advantage is the location, but IMHO is the least of the 1 bedroom units.

When I’m booking a 1 bedroom at MGC, I book the 1 bedroom stand alone that is nit part of a larger unit. Decent location and no dealing with a potential nightmare of a couple sharing the studio unit next door. If I can’t get that style unit, then I’ll book the two bedroom master suite of the three bedroom unit. Because the lock off guest suite shares a foyer, there’s no pass through door. This units are at the very end and have large windows with very good views.

As noted, the 1BR (guest of a 3 BR) is a smaller 1BR and the true 1BR units there are relatively small anyway. I'd take the dedicated 1BR as my first choice and the smaller 1BR as my last choice.
