I've asked a couple of times on the Western Board with no response.

Have any of you been here and is it worth the side trip? They are located on route 66 north of I-40 just outside the Hualapai reservation.

How long does it take to see them?

Thanks.

up to the top.

Has no one been here?

We drive by the exit everytime we go to Williams to the family second home. Haven't seen them yet. You might want to ask redrocks. He lives in Sedona and might have some insight.

I've posted twice in the past on the Western Board (at least once in a thread he had participated in) and he did not responded so I figured he had no opinion on the caverns. They are not far from the Grand Canyon skywalk and I'm debating on whether we should do that instead.

caverns

I was just at the GC this summer. Never heard of them. Are you by chance talking about Montezumas castle which is built into a cliff? Otherwise it must not be much. We did see a cave down near Tombstone. I do not recommend it for anyone with health problems. It was 90 degrees and humidity. whew. It was 110 outside and I have never been so glad to stand in the sun at 110! At least you could breath.

haven't gone

I haven't gone to the caverns, but I thought I saw a news story about some young boy dying there. Something about the lakes there? I can't remember if it's bacteria or amoebae, but swimming in the green-blue water caused him to have some infection. The place has been closed due to a flood recently.

edited: I just realized that you were asking about the caverns, not the falls. Never mind. I'll leave the link up for those who want to visit the Havasupai waterfalls in the area.

I have wanted to go check out the Skywalk but we haven't gone yet.
