I know this is an old thread, but hoping to get some insight and thoughts about ownership here! Easy to exchange into II any restrictions on your ownership when you purchase resale? Maintenance fees and other fees reasonable? Would love to hear your thoughts and anything you feel is pertinent to know as a prospective buyer…
Hey, sorry I only saw this now.
We're up to 3 weeks now as owners, so it's safe to assume we like it! :)

This started as a backup plan in case our main resort (Banff Rocky Mountain Resort) will shut down this year or not. However, we're enjoying Grand Canadian more than BRMR. Much more spacious, all on one level, there's an elevator in case you get a 2nd floor unit (not very many), there's air conditioning if it gets too hot in the summer... pretty quiet, too.

Not perfect, for sure, but the management has been replacing appliances and furniture in the units and are trying to improve things that had been stagnating for a while.
Biggest complaint is the scramble to book the high-demand weeks a year in advance, but we've been lucky to get summer weeks so far.

I can't help you with II exchanges - we belong to RCI but haven't traded our GCR weeks yet. I haven't seen any difference in our resale weeks vs. developer weeks.
Maintenance fees are about on par with BRMR - closing in on $1800 CAD this year, I think.

Hope that helps - feel free to ask any other questions!
