Seems like weddings are the topic of the day!

My coworker's daughter just got engaged and she would like to buy her a wedding planner book as a gift. A what to do when that has good info nothing that is terribly formal. They intend to marry in a year and this is the first daughter getting married.

Thanks!

I just checked a bunch of books out of the library. they all assume you are going to have lots and lots of accompaniments at the wedding. Someone we know (who called us two weeks before their son's wedding and told us somehow our invitation never got mailed) told me I needed to hire a wedding consultant for my daughter's wedding. Hogwash. this stuff is so overdone it makes me sick. I am reading this right after the thread about not being invited to nephew's wedding, does a small wedding make them less married? . I bought 1000 Best Wedding Bargains by Sharon Naylor . It is helpful, but not enough to plan a wedding.

Thanks Rapmarks! Anyone else have a good book on the subject?

On Oct.31 an updated Bridal Bargains by Alan and Denise Fields will debut.
