Figured I'd ask here to save some time researching- I'm looking for a good collapsible rolling cooler that is only 9" deep so as to easily fit in the overhead compartment as a carry-on. I switched to a rolling one this trip and it was a little too deep to get into the overhead compartment (luckily I managed to squeeze it in by taking out the bottom insert that gives it shape), preferably one with good quality wheels rather than those tiny little ones.

Thanks for suggestions

I have no real suggestions to offer, but I can share that we used the one we bought at Kohls a few years ago until it disintegrated. That was before the TSA rules on liquids, so we carried it on with drinks for the kids and even some frozen food. Then we used it for a couple of weeks while touring national parks out west. Since the restaurants are sometimes few and far between, we packed lunches every day and picniced in some marvelous scenary.

A couple of years ago I saw a similar one at Tuesday Morning.

I have two slightly smaller ones now that I found at yard sales. They were promotional items with the logo for a local hospital on the lid. With the new rules, I just smash them flat and put them in a checked bag if I'm taking one. A couple of times, I've even taken food in one with ice bottles in checked luggage. Don't pack those blue ice things in luggage unless you triple wrap them. For some reason they always leak like crazy in the baggage compartment. I just use plastic 20 oz soda bottles and then slip them into a ziploc baggie to avoid condensation leakage.
