WHOO HOO

My practice has been sold, I'm done "consulting" for the new guy and off tomorrow. A week to drive from the B.C. Coast down through Oregon, Utah, Arizona, loop up to Vegas. Then two weeks with my sister-in-law and her hubby - at the Westin in Palm Springs area and a week at the Grand Pacific Palisades in Carlsbad.

Then we dump them off at the airport, and a week with my parents, four days in Reno and three days at the Worldmark resort in Sonoma. They don't know it, but my brother is flying in to surprise them in Sonoma for their 50th anniversary.

Then we send mom and dad home and a week up the Oregon Coast.

The longest holiday I've ever had and I'm NOT taking my cell phone - we'll rely on hubby's only as "the office" will not be calling me.

So just had to kinda share that with people who LIVE for vacations!!

Congratulations!

And, you might want to have your second cell phone with you anyway. Sometimes when we want to do separate activities, even just when shopping at a mall, then you aren't tied together. You can go into a store and shop and say, I'll call you when I'm done, and he can go and poke around the stores that interest him, instead of holding your purse outside the changing room (for example).

If you're don't with your "office phone" then see if you can just get a second phone/line from your husband's phone. Always good to have a spare in case a batter dies too.

Congrats, it sounds wonderful. ENJOY.

That is wonderful!!!!

Living your bucket list...that's what I am doing. Just wish I could do it 6 weeks straight (ha ha). Have a safe, wonderful trip, and write some trip reports for us sad folks that are stuck home for the next 3 months.

Bev,

Have a great trip and family visit.

I second the recommendation to take your cell phone. You can leave it off and use it when you need to.

5 Weeks! Have A Great Time

Bev,
I will be looking forward to your posts. We went to PV for 3 weeks last January and look forward to spending 5 weeks in a couple years. we see couples at Club Regina in PV that go for 8 wks and use a studio unit to maximize their time in Mexico. A studio might be a little close but they spend all day under the palm trees by the pool, it sems.

Congrats on your retirement. sounds like a fun trip. Enjoy!

Congratulations, Bev, enjoy your long vacation.

We are off to Whistler for a few days beginning of Sept., then Kona for 3 weeks on Sept. 20.

Congrats Bev!!! Hey, while you are at WorldMark if you want to connect for coffee PM me and we will try to meet up.:)

Hey, Bev...You go, girl! Your trip sounds splendid, and good for you.
We basically retired at 47 & 48, and went cruising for 13 mos. We lived on our boat for 6 yrs., but Philip always found something to do. When people ask when he retired, he asks, "Which time?"
Enjoy the taste of freedom. Jean
