We are heading to Glacier Canyon for Thanksgiving week. Is there anywhere is particular area which we should ask to have our room? Is there any part of the TS that you can walk inside to the water parks? Thanks!

Rooms Close to Walkway

My preference would be close to the walkways that get you from one indoor feature to another - and no you don't have to go outside. If I remember these units end in something near xx40 or so? They are as far away from the check-in area as you can get. We were there in August and used the indoor walkways frequently. Best resort I've been to in 25 years of timesharing. Have fun, Uncle Davey

We were there last year at this time

When we were there last December 2007 we had to take shuttles to the Wilderness part for the indoor waterparks. It was very convenient but some have mentioned that the pickups can be confusing for the return trip because they tell you to go to a numbered exit to get picked up and then you have to find that exit. It really wasn't too big of a problem.

I don't know what construction they may have done over the last year to connect the two parts of the resort.

The interior walkway connects all rooms to the waterpark. There is no construction going on. Frequency of shuttles is good also.

We just got back. Excellent resort, very well kept up. I took your suggestion and asked for a room close to the walkway, which they honored. Excellent, thank you! :) It was much easier to get to the water parks (3x per day with the kids) being close to the walkway!

I called a few days in advance. I asked for a room closer to the walkway. One rep said they finalize the room the day before.

Great timing.....thanks for the hint. That can be a long walk with a 6, 3 and 2 year old plus our friends kids of same age. We had a room right next to the game room (the one with all the cheesy games that give out tickets) and that was a hike!!!!!!! Plus can get expensive as the kids are begging to go there as they know it is only about 50 feet from the room....but I have to admit the deal or no deal game is a bit addictive.

Yeah, I thought I would do better at that Deal or No Deal.

DANG! I want to go back. And not for Deal or No Deal.

We are thinking about going back in a few months. We had a great time and it was quick to get there. We are Marriott owners but have been thinking of buying into Wyn to use points to get into here yearly. Only problem is we want to stay with an II resort.

You get Wyn points now for next to nothing, for us it is a very cost effective way to get to the waterparks. I don't need more points now I need more housekeeping credits!!! I don't think II has any nice Dells waterparks?

I am looking at the Wyndham's that trade in II.

If anyone knows the link to look at Glacier Canyon point charts, I would be much obliged!
