So OceanWalk is your favorite? I can exchange into that resort via my WM points. Been exchanging emails with Joan as this is one of her favorite resorts, too.

Are the rooms at OceanWalk beeing updated? The pictures on the WM site are so old, I would hope the rooms have received new televisions and counters and furniture.

What is next door to the resort? I know there is a mall of sorts across the street connected by a bridge, but is there an ammusement park within walking distance? Can't figure out what is within walking distance other than that mall.

...and I just stayed at Ocean Blvd this past summer. Very nice. Best thing going for it were the nice sized two bedroom units (we were in tower 4) and the location was great, with a nice downtown area a few blocks away and a small beach ammusement park. What wasn't so nice was the really dirty carpeting and the resort pools, just plain old pools all built over parking garages. The parking was another issue but I expected parking to be tough. The really small and shaded and plain pools were a big disapointement but the resort was very nice.

THanks.

Wyndham Kona Hawaiian, Great Smokies Lodge and if you are not staying at a DVC you can't beat the location of Bonnet Creek.

Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk is nice too(only spent 3 days there).

Looking forward to Old Town Alexandria for spring break this year.

Emeral grande is a nice resort but the points to stay there are too high in my opinion. You have to catch a small boat to go to the beach.

We haven't stayed at even 1/3 of them, but we have stayed in quite a few. Based on just the resort alone, I'd pick:

1) Wyndham Glacier Canyon
2) Bonnet Creek
3) Kona Hawaiian Resort

It's funny how those change when you have kids. We have two little kids and the Dells resort has been wonderful for us. It's 4 hours away from home. We often can get great rates (staying in 2 bedroom presidential for four nights this month over a weekend for just 34,450 points) and the waterparks are included.

We love Bonnet Creek, too. I like the rooms there a lot and they have great pools. It truly feels more upscale to me than a lot of others because of the restaurants and pool bars. We honeymooned to Kona Hawaiian Village and it was lovely.

In addition to the ones above, we've been to Nashville, Bentley Brook, El Cid Mazatlan, and Kingsgate. We usually trade into Wyndham with RCI when we exchange, but we have stayed at Orange Lake at Lake Geneva, WI and this year we are trying DVC Beach Club Villas and Hilton Gradne Vacation Club on I-Drive.

For a place we keep going back to and always look forward to being there -- Wyndham Santa Barbara.

Governor's Green in Williamsburg because it's close and there's lots to do there. (Shop til you drop at the outlet mall.)

La Belle Maison because it's in New Orleans, although Quarter House is where we normally stay in NOLA.

Others where we've stayed (to put things in perspective): Long Wharf, Atlantic City, National Harbor, Old Town Alexandria, Kingsgate, Patriot Place, Smoky Mountains, Nashville, Mountain (western NC), Plantation, Sea Watch, WestWinds, Lake Marion, Panama City Beach, Ocean Walk, Bonnet Creek

Fact of the matter is, a lot of the Wyndham resorts are very good . . . either in location or features.

Others I've stayed at and would agree, are worth a visit (in no particular order) . . .

* Nashville
* La Belle Maison
* Royal Sea Cliff
* Mauna Loa
* Cypress Palms
* Patriots Place (but only if Kingsgate or Governors Green are not available)
* Palm Aire

Our favorite three would be Pagosa Springs, Oceanside and Worldmark Windsor (not actually Wyn but available through the system.)

1. Royal Vista - we go every year
2. Old Town Alexandria
3. Steamboat Springs

We have enjoyed all our stays so it was tough narrowing it down to three. We have also stayed at Great Smokies Lodge, Panama City, Ocean Walk, Sea Garden and Palm Aire.

We are looking forward to our trip to Bonnet Creek this summer.

Ocean Walk

It's been a couple of years since I've been to Ocean Walk, but the room weren't too bad. I had a "City View" room with a balcony. Directly accross the street there is a small water park and parking garage for the Ocean Walk Mall, which is kind of small, but it has restaurants, retail, and movie theaters. It's connected to the tower by a bridge or you can get there via the pool area. Next to that is a Hilton. On the other side of the Ocean Walk is Public Beach access and more condos. There are some other shops and restaurants within walking distance, but not many. A littler futher down the beach there is a pier and boardwalk (nothing to write home about). All in all I had a pretty good time there, but I discovered I like Panama City better.

P.S. there were fireworks on Saturday night during the summer. If you have any other questions just ask I jog my memory a little.

I've only been to a few but my favorites so far are Bonnet Creek and Riverside Suites in San Antonio. I'm sure once I visit some others I'll have a longer list. ;)

Kona Hawaiian Village - Big Island of Hawaii
Grand Desert- Close enough to all the action of the strip yet still quiet.
