Getting rid of a time-share

Pretty sure letting the Resort take it back on the First Right of Refusal is the right direction (If they will). Just because something isn't your cup of tea, doesn't mean that an individual shouldn't have all the options presented to them. That way one can make a sound, educated decision about what is best for one's self. I'm just tired of hearing everyone say "Try eBay" or "Try to give it away" (which everyone should try first) and then offering nothing else beyond that. Where does one turn after those two options fail? I'd love to hear.

I have no problem with a deedback if the HOA allows that, as a fair number do.

It is the scammy PCC's that I have problem with.

Does TUG have a feedback system where members report on success of their ads which can be accessed by the membership. Important info like what was your asking price, what did you accept, any aspects of the sale or rental, how long did it take for results, etc, etc.. Thanks

Not really - we are not set up for it. However, as much as I like TUG, I would not use TUG exclusively - the more places you list, the more traffic you will get, and the more likely you are to sell or rent your timeshare.

If you are not getting any inquiries - your price is too high. In this economy, most timeshares are selling for 0-10% of retail.

Hi,

I have one floating week at the Manhattan Club in NYC. The unit is an executive suite.
Let me know what other details you'd like to know.
I have the impression that Manhattan Club is a very hot property....at least it seems difficult to trade into. Are you sure you wouldn't be ahead of the game banking it with an exchange company that has good trade promos - SFX etc - or even trading deeds with someone for a property that may work better for you? Just a thought....that you've probably already thought about.

Thanks Denise; good to know, and will follow up, as we're trying to get into Manhattan Club ourselves. BTW, what does OP stand for?
