Getting out of my Timeshare - Safe Hands Transfers [merged]

Safe Hands Transfers

Anyone heard of this place? Thanks. I'm trying to unload a timeshare that's gone from Gold Crown to no rating; and its MFs are very high in spite of that rating. I've been to one group presentation where the "broker" wanted $5,000 to take the unit off our hands!!!! I'd rather donate it to charity, which I've been investigating. This, though--SAFE HANDS--came in the mail today and I wondered if anyone heard of them. Sharon

Try to give it away in the freebies here before you spend any money to try and liquidate.

Timeshare Relief, Inc

I too attended a Timeshare Relief presentation. They did go through a lot of doom and gloom about owning a timeshare, but I already knew all of that and it is all true. I too walked out because I didn't want to pay their high fee, but I was thanked for attending. They were totally professional.

I own a Mayan Palace timeshare in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I do not want to burden my heirs with the ongoing maintenance fees and renovation fees that continue for the next 85years. I have tried to sell with no success. As everyone knows who has tried to sell their time share, there is no market and the up front fee companies just take your money, put an ad on the internet, and do nothing except tell you that there are no takers. I laugh when some one says they will give it to charity or give it to someone for free. Obviously they have not tried to do that or they would know that they wouldn't find any takers.

Other than using a company like Timeshare Relief, how does one get rid of a high end timeshare? My contract calls for an annual maintenace fee charge just for changing title and some of the benefits don't pass to the new owner. And try finding someone who wants to deal with tranactions in Mexico. I have decided to do business with Timeshare Relief in spite of their high fee. How can they be total scumbags and still be in business all these years? Have I just totally bought into a bogus program?

See post #6 in this thread for info. about how to give away your TS, for far less cost.
