Getting a week for fundraising

I have just decided to join the Avon Walk this year in honor of the cancer survivors I paddle with (Live Love Survive dragon boat team). I am brainstorming fundraising ideas. I am lucky enough to know how to bake, sew, and make pottery so I will be having bake sales and craft sales. I am thinking about having a medium size fundraising event and am thinking about using my II bonus weeks (got 2 available) for raffles or silent auctions. I live and work in San Francisco Bay Area. Which area/resort/season do you think I should try to reserve with my bonus weeks to maximize the dollars? What other fundraising ideas can you offer? Thanks.
 
I would probably go with Tahoe or Las Vegas, as popular destinations that are inexpensive to drive or fly to.

AC's are very limited, so you probably won't be able to reserve high season weeks.
