Potentially good news for those Canadians who want to travel to the Caribbean this winter.

Whether there is anyone on the flights is the bigger question. With all the constantly changing requirements needed to enter many of those countries (such as a valid negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of arrival), it makes it very difficult to plan to travel.

It will also IMO depend upon whether the Quarantine Act in Canada is altered or suspended by then. If not, the requirement for a 14-day strict quarantine upon returning to Canada will make it difficult or impossible for many.

As the situation stands now, personally, would not choose to travel to the Caribbean or Central America during these times. Simply because of health care availablilty and that cost. If things improved to where quarantines were lifted then that would mean to me it is safer to travel. All of this, that is, with the caveat, unless I had a extremely good personal knowledge and reliabale information of the country traveling to. You would also need to know from where else, what country, the other tourists are arriving from.
