Hello,
My mother has 3 timeshares. One in Branson, one in Orlando at or by Disney and one in Mexico. She wants out of them. She no longer travels and us kids do not want them. We will pay for closing cost on them. The Branson one is a week system with RCI. The Florida one is for points with RCI. I do not have all the information on them but will provide any answer to questions you have on them. I’ll just have to get the answer from my mother.
Thank you.

Where the property in Orlando.

You should probably dig up all the paperwork she has on these, as well as the billing statements.

Hello Buckcats29- I would be interested in the Mexico timeshare since there are quite a lot of people who are already interested in the Orlando one. Do you know if the Mexico one a point system or a week system or what kind of system is it? Thank you.

Timeshares are complicated creatures, even if free. Some information that is going to be needed include:

Name of timeshare
Float or fixed week (if float, floating period)
If enrolled in RCI points, number of points
Annual or biennial (if biennial, odd or even year)
Amount of annual maintenance fees
Available first year’s use

Also, you are offering to pay the closing costs (which should be around $250). What are the transfer costs and who pays for that? Note that transfer fees are set by the timeshare.

Good luck.

@RX8, you are giving good advice.

If I were a potential buyer I would want to have confidence that the seller is thoroughly describing what is being sold, who pays what, unit size, MF, whether in arrears or not, when it can first be used, etc., and more importantly whether the seller is going to be able to act in a timely and thorough fashion to get the paperwork done.

If I were thinking about buying a TS off of ebay and I read "I have a timeshare for sale. Period. No details but will answer questions", I would have no interest or confidence in that seller.

I'm hoping that the OP comes back with necessary details.

I'm a potential buyer, I know what I'm looking for. A timeshare available in Orlando piqued my interest, but I won't commit to anything without knowing details.

Why hasn’t the OP answered any questions yet?

I see this often on TUG. See some where one posts a question on how to give away their timeshare and given advice to post in the bargain bin for free. However, they never list it and just disappear never to be heard from again. Or, like the OP here, post free timeshares but lacking in details and then ignore questions from interested people (OP was last on TUG on May 31st so they saw all the questions). These are likely the same people to complain to anyone within earshot that timeshares are bad because they can’t even be given away.

The last sighting of the OP was May 31. So, they may have seen the questions but chose not to respond. I'm wondering if any of the other responders who indicated an interest have been contacted by the OP seller?
