I don't see it as a great deal. The ticket will not be upgradeable and will have an expiry - so use it or lose it. Almost anyone contemplating going to WDW will be looking at a multi-day pass so where is the value in an extra day for one member of your party? I think it is a great promo idea that translates into little value to the consumer.

Don't mean to be disagreeable, but for those of us who live near a park (Disneyland in my case) this is a great deal. Of course I can understand it's not a real plus for those from far away, but for us it's a nice little perk. :)

I tend to agree with Gary. However, if you purchase Disney tickets w/ the non-expiring option, then a free day is definitely a perk.

If you have an annual pass or multi-day tickets you can receive a gift card for the amount of a one day magic your way base ticket. I think this is $75?
I'm not sure what all restrictions are on the gift card but it has to be used on your birthday. There is some kind of all day fast pass you can receive instead of the ticket or gift card.

I think it is a great idea. We are usually there for both by husband's and my birthdays and we have annual passes, so the gift card will be a nice addition for the parks.
