Foxrun is a former VRI-managed resort, meaning that it was recently taken over by Capital Vacations, a company that absorbed all VRI resorts, it seems.

The fees are again very reasonable. It's a good trader, and has gotten some great trades over the years. I bought it about 15 years ago, strictly to use for exchanging into Disney, then Disney moved to RCI and I used it as a trader into the Marriott Orlando resorts (It trades very well into Orlando Marriott and Vistana Villages and no size upgrade fee to the 2 bedroom).

The week is week 52, Unit 29, 2 bed, 2 bath, fees of $931 for 2024. These are the townhouses that are attached with just one other townhouse, very spread out not a lot of neighbors. Great kitchen, the place is updated regularly.

It's very near Asheville, NC, and of course so many attractions nearby. It's on Lake Lure, where Dirty Dancing was filmed. When you see pictures of the lake in the movie with Patrick Swayze, it's this lake. Rumbling Bald is a beautiful recreation area.

It's a favorite of some TUG members who love it so much that when we had an opportunity to end the timeshare a few years ago, I fought to end it as a timeshare, but so much consternation here on TUG on my opinion to just let it go. I guess because people absolutely love Foxrun.

Week 52 is New Year's Week most years, and I only use it for II, never used RCI because the trading power in RCI is pretty awful. I think it received 18 points.

As far as Disney is concerned, I can see right now with week 52 for 2024, two one bedrooms for May, one at Saratoga Springs, and one for Old Key West. I see all of the studios with this week. The one bedrooms are such a bargain to grab, MF+ exchange fee +$190 to Disney. It's a little over $1,400 for a 1 bedroom at Disney. Such a bargain. We almost always get the one bedrooms. Consider that one bedrooms at most Disney resorts do sleep 5 people. I originally could see 2 bedrooms at Disney, but the change in trading power occurred this go-round.

Exchange fees for II are $229 now. That will probably go up next month. II tends to raise prices each year. We will soon know.

Use won't begin until 2025. I had to pay the fees for 2024, so 2025 would be your first use.

I will do the closing myself and will pay the $200 transfer fee.

Bumping this one up to the top.

2025 use available. Free closing, free transfer.

The above person wanted a cash incentive as well as free. So it's still available.

Really?
As if free isn't good enough!

Several friends own weeks at Foxrun and use them to trade into Morritts Tortuga Club/Morritts Grand every year. Also Orlando Marriotts. And Palm Desert Marriotts in shoulder season.
A great trader.

He won an ebay auction, I think something in Williamsburg?, with free use and cash back, so he expects TUG members to pay him money to take weeks we are giving away. I bought this one for real money and certainly have gotten some good use from it. It's a great trader, and I was always happy with one bedrooms at Disney because it's just two of us for most trips. I bought it way back when Disney was with II before.

I am not sure if I believe the ebay auction story. I am looking for a triennial Grandview points so I have been checking this forum frequently and I noticed since he started posting last month he has been trying to buy every (or most?) Timeshares posted across multiple different systems. My tentacles are on high alert.

Many of the timeshares on ebay with no value will offer a gift card or other incentive in order to get rid of the timeshare. These are timeshares that would be considered to have negative value. I think there is a difference between taking a free timeshare off an unknown seller on ebay vs a long time tug poster.

I notice that you have been commenting on almost all of the free timeshare postings in the past few weeks that you are interested and asking the posters to contact you.

It came out in this thread https://tugbbs.com/forums/threads/f...sney-resorts-never-2-bedrooms-anymore.359593/ that you are asking the sellers for cash incentives to take their timeshares.

While I am not sure if this is against any rules of the forum, it certainly isn’t in the spirit that we are trying to achieve here - helping fellow members.
It appears to be more of a shakedown.
I agree with you, It is certainly unusual to see all this activity.
and yes, I know that some auctions have incentives but this is highly unusual behavior by @Jazdddy

@Jazdddy has been commenting on many desirable give always here, not dogs.

I agree, could very easily want to cash the incentive then back out of the transfer. Too new to be chasing this many free offers. Danger Will Robinson, proceed with caution and no exchange until transfer completed.

Any cash incentive shouldn't be paid until transfer is complete.

it certainly is peculiar, though sofar noone he has contacted has indicated they felt they were being scammed.

please PM me immediately if this is the case and we will take action.

Relax bro I just want good deals I only found one in end was good

Still available and use is starting in 2025, so not for another nearly two years.

I’m sure someone will take it, without cash incentive.

its fixed week 52? how does the resort handle week 53?
I have never gotten week 53 and have owned about 18 years, so I would say they would make a person pay MF's.

That would be usual to pay the fee, but do they offer it to you?

Not even once.

This week is still available. Fees for 2025 are $995. Great trader in II.

Never say never. I currently see two bedrooms in May at our favorite Disney resort for May with this week. If you want the week, I can grab a 2 bedroom at Disney's Old Key West for you with reimbursement of maintenance fees for 2025, which I already paid and deposited the 2025 week. $995 fees + exchange fee of $229 and free closing. Automatic great catch for the first year's use. What a deal!

Still free, free closing and transfer. Usage will not begin until 2026.

This week is still available for giveaway, free closing, free transfer (I will pay the transfer fees).

Today I received a match for this one with my Foxrun week:

Another great exhange I received via ongoing search:

This is a great trader. If you want to know why I am giving it away, I have Marriott and Sheraton weeks in abundance. I cannot use this one. My niece is considering taking it, but all of the negative commercials about getting out of a timeshare have turned her sour on the idea of owning one. The proof is in the exchanges.
