Foolishly purchased HGVC TS and then added on to it. What can I do now?

Excellent analogy! Very true.
 
You are not alone - I paid 20K for 5,000 points back in 2009 yet we've been to many places and loved it. So same ouch here yet learning to maximize the use of it at this forum. Hope you learn a lot here and get to enjoy it!
