I guess this must be the first time we needed to book flights on a spring break week. I can't believe how expensive Southwest is to fly into Orlando. We have to come home a day early because all of the direct flights home were sold out.

I hope it's worth it. Going to the Resort on Cocoa Beach.

They sell out fast when they extend their schedule for prime times. You might check other airlines to see if there are better pricing even with bag charges.

I'm flying to Orlando in March for spring break also, and found that the flight down on SW was way too expensive, although coming back it's less than $100 for a nonstop. I agree that it's good to shop around.

Delta's roundtrip was much cheaper for me (from Hartford), likely because Jet Blue now also flies nonstop and brings the prices down. I have no problem booking one-way flights on different airlines. I get free bags on Delta and American anyway so that's not an issue for me. (Actually I never check a bag going to Orlando.)

Keep in mind that with Southwest, you can always rebook for free if a cheaper flight becomes available. They will keep the savings in an "account" that you can use for up to a year from your initial booking.

Did you check Jet Blue?

We don't have Jet Blue non stop flights in Philadelphia.

I didn't know about Southwest rebooking if the price drops, thanks. I can always use another flight.

Thanks.
