Has anyone tried these? Any good or bad experiences? Do the fuzzies come off on the clothes?

I have not heard of these. Are they a flocked plastic or is it velvet fabric? If it is a sprayed or glued on flocking, it may wear off over time.

I have switched almost entirely to them. Costco has them at a great price.
I have been using them for about a year now with no problems. They seem particularly gentle on sweaters.

I also have the Costco type. They work pretty well, and take up a lot less room than the curved wooden type.

My husband had an extra closet built in our new finished basement!!! I changed all of my hangers over to this type....I am a member of BJ's and they did have them at one time but the price was not that great and the price was not the best either at Bed Bath and Beyond So......my good shopping buddy is a member of Costco so I had her buy me many boxes of them. These are all black and the price per box of 50 was a good bit cheaper than any other source, less than $20.00 per box!! My clothes look so good , all uniform rather than on different types of hangers. If any one is considering these, go ahead and get them I say, but buy them at Costco!!:cheer:

Another fan of buying them at Costco. My wife originally bought them off one of the TV cable channels - I think either HSN or QVC. She loves them. Then she discovered them at Costco for $15.95 for a box of 50 hangers. Bought several more boxes at Costco. You can get more hooks at Target. Also gives a lot more space in the closet. She's not sure if Costco made a one-time purchase of the hangers or if they will be available on a regular basis.

Yes, I got the HSN Joy Mangano "huggable hangers". I like them. Things do not slip off the hangers. I got the linen color with brass colored hooks on a special.

HSN just had a special value but DH said no more. I may order more some day, though. He's not the boss of me. :annoyed:

I thought DD#1 didn't like them but it's Joy she doesn't like. :ignore:

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but I bought a box of these at Costco and I've found that they are hard to load shirts and pants onto. Granted, they look great, and the clothes, once hung, don't come off. Good for putting in hanging luggage as they don't take much space. I've relegated them to pants, and shirts go on plastic hanger.

When my wife used her first set, it allowed to add so many more clothes, that it broke one of the supports at the end of the rod. I had to replace it (think I replaced both ends) with a new support before she could hang anything else.

I'm not sure were she got her original set (probably QVC), but she saw the ones at Costco yesterday, and didn't seem to like them. I'm not sure what the difference was (we already had a full cart, was glad she wasn't buying anything else).

What's the deal with these hangers?

I see Joy Magano frequently on HSN touting the benefits of these things, but I just can't figure out what all the hype is about????

Can anyone explain the "joy" of these things? :D

It allows a significantly higher amount of clothing to be hung in the same amount of space. Watch an episode of Sex in the City to understand why this brings some people "joy."

Take up less room ergo can put more things in closet and for the most part, clothing doesn't fall off hanger.

Rick,
Besides the fact that they take up less space than many other hangers, there is another benefit, especially for women. Clothes don't fall off their hangers! I know that isn't a problem for most guys, but it is for ladies. Sleeveless things, things with lower necks, and silky material items all slide off hangers onto the floor quite easily. Using this type of hanger I've never had that problem. I've been using them for about six years.

I got most of mine at Bed Bath and Beyond, using a 20% off coupon. If Costco's work the same, they'd be cheaper.

Thanks for the quick replies about these gizmo's.:)

So since these allow more things to be hung in the closet, does this mean that perhaps I can get some of my things hung up instead of surrendering all the closet space to my wife and daughter! ;) :D

Not likely. It will just mean that they'll be able to buy more things...:whoopie:

I doubt it, but it will provide more space so the ladies can feel free to purchase new clothes :)

I don't think I'll buy more (or not much more) - I just want to be able to hang up clothes without using my shoulder muscles to jam them in! Actually when I empty the closet to change the hangers, I hope I can get rid of a lot of clothes I haven't worn for ages.

Love that thought. Bet you've been saying that since childhood.:)

I love these hangers-knits and sweaters hang well, slippery blouses stay on, pants don't 'crinkle' up.

And I am so glad you posted this--I have been slowly replacing my hangers with these from HSN, and after reading the thread I know I have been paying way too much! I will now look for them at Costco!!!:D
