First Timeshare

I rented at our Vermont time share twice before buying there. And we also rented twice at our New Hampshire time share as well before acquiring that unit.

Just an idea...

An option that wouldn't break the bank would be to can try to find a triennial unit, meaning use is once every three years. Maintenance fees are cut into thirds, but you don't get many points making your points almost useless. BUT you would have a toehold in RCI giving you access to the Last Calls and Getaway deals.

From there you could try lots of places through last calls (since you are flexible and can go in off seasons, your options may be wider than usual) and pick one you like to buy your "real" unit.

The only examples of RCI affiliated triennials that I can think of offhand are Grandview in Las Vegas and Vacation Villages in Orlando, but there are more you can find if you search.

My additional advice is to join TUG so you ll have access to the reviews. Then you can check out places of interest and TUG reviews are the best, since they are from actual timeshare owners

If i asked for it ill take it! Ive found a lot of good help on here already! Do you find that renting a timeshare and purchasing your own food and drinks for the week, as opposed to doing something for instance like Hotwire with flight/hotel/all inclusive, is more cost effective? Im assuming the answer will depend on how much time i plan to spend at the resort

I love staying at Timeshares! I just don't want to own one right now. There are plenty of people that can't use theirs and are willing to rent - that's my strategy going forward.
Yes, I prefer buying my own groceries. Love having a kitchen and the flexibility that provides. Personally, I'm not a fan of AI's but don't have a lot of experience with them either.
