First time Exchange with II

I have a fixed week 51 at Westgate Palace that I want to deposit into II. I was surprised to see II listing my property as FLOAT, but hopefully it is only because they don't have the date information.

Do I need to contact my home resort first to tell them I am going to deposit this week 51 into II or does II contact them directly to confirm.

If yours is a fixed week, call II to deposit, they will verify with resort.

II has a new system that lists all Westgate weeks as floating on each members internet account. They say it is because Westgate is a "club" with sister resorts.

If you call II they will tell you that you own a fixed week. In order to deposit you need to enter the dates of your week on the screen after you click the deposit button. Then II will verify the date of your week and that your week is available for exchange.
