Since it's a 1-BDRM, 1-Bath, Plat, and not a Plus, looks like it's going to be 4800 points?

I believe that you stated that it was sold as a 2-BDRM, 5-K, TS, if so, your missing 200 point. I don't know about Marbrisa, but in Las Vegas, there is a big difference in MF's between 4800 & 5K. Although it's nice to have the extra 200 points, is it woth the increase in MF's?

Ron, you are right! 4800 points. Thank you!!! It took them so long to close it that i totally forgot all about what I bought. I was trying to cancel within 2 weeks and they said it was too late that they sent the doc. the San Diego country already and since the resort does not need Right to Refusal. But took the county 60 days to get the documents back. I feel like I am making a big mistake already!

Can you tell me where do i begin to register and sign up for HGVC? How do i get the club member #? Do i call the resort? Deed does not even have a phone # to call. The escrow company is horrible. Not much guidance or helps. I think they lied to me about the doc. has been sent to the county when I called. :wall::confused:

Check out this thread from last year, which is similar to your current situation. It discusses when you should call, what doc's you need, who you should call, and phone numbers.

Thank you so...so much, Ron! You are so nice and helpful providing such a great information. I cannot believe the TS escrow company. I guess there are so many TS companies that every TS does different things to welcome the new owner. I was hoping to see a little more guidance from them as to where do i begin, like buying a (used / new) house. I guess paying them a $300 fee for closing and asking for more guidance where to begin is probably too much to ask. And here, people here (bbs) are so nice, providing a free service. :wall: Unbelievable!!! i would like to take you out and buy you a coffee if i can.

Just enrolled in HGVC

Yes, I second what Rob(Taterhed) said.

I just got our new purchase into HGVC. It was pretty simple.
I went thru a real estate agent, and used their recommended escrow company. Part of their service was following up with resort/Hilton until the resort transferred unit into our name. The escrow company only sent me an email with my Hilton contract number. No instructions on how to enroll in HGVC, but I had read on TUG on how others just contacted HGVC. Eventually my email got routed to Membership Support, clubsupport@hgvc.com; 1-800-932-4482.
I sent Membership, my contract number & resort name, and they sent me back a form semi-specific for my resort. I got a welcome HGVC email a little more than a week after I sent in completed form & enrollment fees.

Lake123, perhaps your escrow company so far only had the deed recorded in the state, California?, where MarBrisa is located. If they did provide resort transfer notification, would probably take a few more weeks longer to get the resort contract #. Mine, at Bay Club, took about 2 weeks, but my escrow contact said their experience was an average of 3 weeks. Perhaps they were padding to manage expectations ;)

The whole escrow process was pretty straightforward, no surprises. However at the end they had a clerical error, and sent us the seller's documents with remittance check! Now I have one data point on agents' sales commissions :D
